Art Institute of California-San Diego Spirit Poster 1/9

We have another Spirit poster today that was crafted by a student of the Art Institute of California-San Diego. Thanks to moviesonline for the hookup:

Spirit Ver10

For the full sized image please journey to the source article.

I agree with Luke at moviesonline in proclaiming that this is the best poster for the film to date. This poster is 1/9 in a series that that will be designed as part of a student program at the Art Institute of California-San Diego. I wish more professional posters looked as cool as this student’s assignment.

its alright. I’m a graphic design student currently….I wish we would get such an awesome assignment. We did have to design a film festival poster. Mine wasn’t chosen :( but there were a few good ones. Another guy from my class got his chosen (got paid as well).

My main detraction from the poster is the “WARNING THIS CITY IS PRTECTED BY”…..dunno if that has any relevance to the film but not feeling it on the poster. The break under the eyes resembles a mouth a lot to me and makes it look like he has a huge underlip which makes it looks kinda goofy (which I don’t believe the character is meant to be).

Guess I’m just being critical. Wish I could be so critical when I’m actually in class :p.

You may know this but, the figure is from the neighborhood watch sign. That’s why it has the break under the eyes. I do agree with you that they should have fixed that, it’s distracting.

The break under the eyes makes it look like a canadian from South Park.

Nope I didn’t realize that. See how lack of knowledge can make me sound so stupid. Darn my lack of knowledge.

That just negates all the reason I gave for not liking it.

great, repping us graphic designer students!!!

A few random bullet holes would have been cool.
