Hey guys, I love the podcasts. Just one question - is there a delay between when you post the podcast here and when it shows up on your iTunes feed? Because I seem to always check in on the site, see a new podcast is up, then run to iTunes to see if it's downloaded so I can toss it on the ole' iPod. But it always seems to show up close to a week after I see it on the blog. Thoughts? Concerns? Unspeakable ancient curses?

the only difference that really matters between Batman Begins and Superman Returns is that BB is fucking great and SR was fucking franchise killingly awful.

Plus Batman really had to overcome the stench left behind from Batman And Robin. You think incredible hulk had a hurdle to overcome?? HULK is nowhere near as big of a turkey as Batman Ice follies.

Superman Returns was supermans return to the big screen after what? 17-18 years?? It should have done much better especially with now much they spent on it.
If it really was a success do you really think it would be taking this long to get a sequel of the ground?? Come on...

hulk style reboot that is what we will ultimately see.

Great show again guys :)

I'm thinking DK's opening will be between $90_$100 million.

I think the internet buzz, built in fanbase from BB and the "Heath-factor" will be the reasons. Don't forgot that people who don't even like batman may want to go see his last role. Also BB was a very strong seller on DVD

Also I think ill disagree with John's point about the kid friendly factor. Both DK and IronMan are rated PG-13. Kids love superheroes and when they see its rating will probably Be bugging parents to go see it. Parents will notice as well and most likely will take them to see it.

Just a thought

PS. Heath is looking like a damn good casting choise right about now. Love that fucked up laugh from the TV spots

Peace

That’s true, but totally irrelevant in the discussion. It doesn’t matter if Batman only cost $5 dollars to make…. more people still saw Superman… more people were interested in Superman.

John
You are absolutly correct. I guess I wasnt thinking that you meant it like that.
I hope you are right about Dark Knight. I really really really hope that it doesnt make $100M opening weekend.

Thanks for the show guys.

If you're not sure of how much bank TDK will make ( and I have no clue why you would doubt it) you need not look further than this link

http://weekendgross.blogspot.com/2008/06/dark-knight-tracking-extremely-well.html

As if you needed much evidence for whether Warner Bros.' next Batman offering The Dark Knight will be a certified mega-blockbuster, MovieTickets.com just released an internal poll showing that Christopher Nolan's latest offering could be the biggest debut of the summer, if not the entire year. According to the poll, 81% of male moviegoers and 66 percent of female moviegoers polled June 10-15 intend to see "The Dark Knight" opening weekend. 100% of ticket buyers polled were aware of The Dark Knight's release this summer, compared with 49% of ticket buyers three weeks before "The Incredible Hulk" and 36% of buyers three weeks before "Iron Man."

The Incredible Hulk muscled its way to a $54.5 million opening, while Iron Man bowed with $98.6 million. The biggest opening of all-time was last May's Spider-Man 3 with $151.1 million, a number I expect The Dark Knight to possibly challenge on July 18th.

this film is track thrice as good as Iron Man was. 100% 3 weeks before the film is even released? After the July 18th weekend, even the projection reels on the film are gonna be made out of money.
