Run for Her Life
We have news about an organ thief film called Run for Her Life for you today, thanks to our good friends over at comingsoon:
“National Treasure” star Diane Kruger has landed the female lead opposite Dermot Mulroney in Baltasar Kormakur’s thriller Run for Her Life.
Kruger and Mulroney play parents who attempt to get a lung transplant for their dying daughter in Mexico. But after agreeing to the operation, they face an ethical dilemma after discovering that the organs aren’t taken from willing donors.
I remember seeing a shitty organ thieving film as a child, and it spooked the hell out of me. The idea of someone capturing you and using you for “parts” is disturbing on many levels.
I would prefer if the family found out the organs were taken from an unwilling donor after surgery was completed on their child. Having it happen beforehand usually means long drawn out scenes where the parents wrestle with this moral dilemma. It’ s far more interesting to me, to see them deal with this information after their child is alive and well post-surgery. Would they tell their kid, or forever keep the secret from them?
This is the type of twisted drama that I wish would stay in the realm of fiction.

“This is the type of twisted drama that I wish would stay in the realm of fiction.”
You make it seem like either
a) You’re being forced to see this ‘type’ of movie, or
b) You’re a Gatekeeper of Film, and you make quality pronouncements about movies…and only based on what you’ve heard about the film, not even the film itself.
Amazing.
Methinks that with b), you would have done well in either Maoist China or Stalinist USSR.
LOL
You’re always good for a laugh.
I should have been more clear.
What I was trying to convey was that as much as these stories creep me out, I can stomach them as films.
Organ thieving is a real tragedy that happens. Because of this, I was wishing out loud that these acts would remain as a story, and not a reality. People stealing other people’s guts is among the worst of horrors.
If my loved one was about to die, and I had to kill an innocent person so that my person could live, fuggedaboutit. I’m marching down the street with an AK taking all those fuckers out:)
Diane Krueger is a very beautiful woman, but she is a horrible actress.
I have never ever seen her giving a good performance. She is even worse than Jessica Alba and that says something.
What goes around comes around. Taking organs from unwilling donors just save someone else? Karma will whup your ass eventually. Big time.
Sounds like a creepy movie. Don’t want to see it.
