New Hancock Clip From The Ellen Show
You know, I keep hearing from people who say “Oh, Hancock is supposed to really suck, I’ve heard it’s terrible”, but the more I think about it… none of those people ever actually saw it… nor do I personally know of anyone who has. Maybe Hancock will completely suck… but I’ve got to say that everything I’ve seen from it so far I’ve liked (especially that 7 minute trailer that came out a while ago.
This new clip from the movie had popped up on Youtube (thanks to Jarred for the heads up), and you know what… I like this one too.
Everything I’ve seen for this movie has grabbed my interest. I hope it doesn’t suck …lol.

The first trailer really had me excited. “Homeless Superhero forced into the role of superhero”. But that second trailer really knocked out my hopes because it looks like yet another “With great power comes great responsibility” movie. And it also didn’t help that the trailer pretty much showed the major plot points and the surprise villain.
Pesonally, I’m still excited because even bad superhero movies are worth giving a shot. I don’t think it will be great, but I also don’t think it will suck.
I’m going to be there for it (the flying special effects looks awesome) because i’m intrigued and i think a lot of people are. But i also think the movie looks muddled and not sure exactly what it is; a comedy, a drama or a full blown action film.

I saw this in Plano in March or April. It was terrible. It didn’t know what it wanted to be. It was a comedy, then it was a drama, then it was a disgusting sort of horror movie, on top of being a spoof-super hero movie. I hated it. But film is subjective so I’m sure there are some that will like it. There are so many plot holes in this movie, it will drive you crazy!
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The first bit of the movie was entertaining; You think to yourself: ‘This is a funny set-up.’ A guy who has no desire to be a hero has super powers. And its about how he’s gonna come to terms with his responsibilities, etc. Jason Bateman’s character helps him create his persona; gives him a suit, etc. But after that they start throwing in plot points and sub plots that don’t make a bit of sense. Suddenly Jason Bateman’s wife also has super powers. And Will Smith and Charlise Theron face off. Its so ridiculous! And the direction is terrible. It feels like a five year old with a camcorder is making this movie. And this is supposed to be a kids movie but there is one particular scene which is extremely uncomfortable. Good luck explaining that scene to your kids; it was completely distasteful!
Avoid this movie at all costs!

LMAO at the reaction shots of Charlize. Might as well hang a sign on her face screaming, “PLOT TWIST!!!!!”
Still thinks this looks good, as long as they limit the stupid one-liners. Plus, it’s got Bateman. You can’t go wrong with Bateman – It’s basic science.
