New Death Race images Online

Some new images have been released for the Death Race remake. The new images feature some caps of Jason Statham in prison, and even some already released shots of the war machines they are to be driving.
That’s right, we’ve got a brand new preview of “Death Race,” the action-packed remake of the 1975 Roger Corman cult flick about prisoners pitted against each other in a race-to-the-death jaunt for freedom in a post-apocalyptic future.
Of the 19 pictures they have there, you have to roll through the first half before seeing the cars. Much like Transformers, this is all anyone is going to care about here. The cars.
The whole parts of the movie before they get behind the wheel is filler. If they said this was going to be half an episode of Sex and the City for 20 minutes, and the rest of it was going to be car battles, it wouldn’t matter. We don’t care about people!!!
Stathams muscle machine looks like MadMax got a hold of Knight Rider, and we make sure you don’t mistake his highly modified combat wheels for any other vehicle and retain the shiny chrome Mustang logo in the grill. Yay product placement.

Looking at those pictures it looks like they are racing on a track rather than cross country like in the original. Which makes me think that the film will lose the black comedy and social commentary the original had. Will the drivers be rewarded for mowing down pedestrians? Is there a driver called Frankenstein? I fear not.
You can call me a fan of Paul W.S. Anderson and I really like what I see here. After the disaster called “Speed Racer” this looks like a really fresh and good and funny action movie with armed racing cars. I hope they’re gonna release a trailer soon because I’ve been dying to see this for quite a long time now. Go Death Race Go!!!
