New Ashcliffe Images Online

Martin Scorsese has yet to let me down. Then rarely has Leonardio DiCaprio either. The two seem a match made in heaven. With 26 total Oscar nominations on the three previous films these two worked on together its no surprise that they saw fit to make another film together.

Cinematical calls it:

The film is based on a novel by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River), and centers on two U.S. marshals who are sent to investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane. Things start to go downhill when a riot on the island has them trapped, and not to mention some events that are outside of the realm of the everyday.

I loved Gangs of New York as well as the Aviator, and Departed tops them both.

Is there any end to the quality we might see from these two?

I am so stoked for this movie. I am usually annoyed when a director always uses the same actor in all of their movies (i.e. Burton and Depp) but Scorsese and Dicaprio have never done me wrong.

What if Marty did a movie starring the two that made him….him? Deniro and Leo?

  3. Rodney says:

I think that Marty was “him” before Leo came along.

It was Deniro who suggested to Scorsese that DiCaprio was the guy to work with.

  4. Tony says:

When did they change the name? The book was called Shutter Island.

    This film sounds mildly entertaining.
I thought The Departed was average at best so this will be a rental.
