Jack Black not a Man-Witch

It looks like the latest Jack Black comedy won’t be Man-Witch. And no, that wasn’t a movie based on the popular hamburger sauce and seasoning that makes the average joe kaisers so sloppy.

From the Nagical Caves of Yahoo:

“Man-Witch” centers on a man who discovers he’s a witch and heads off to teach at a female witch school; Phillips is set to produce and, likely, to direct the Warner Brothers project.

Sources said that the decision this week to part ways may have originated from Black’s camp, which had questions about Phillips’ commitment to direct the picture before “Hangover,” another comedy said to be close to the helmer’s heart.

This movie sounds like School of Rock meets Harry Potter.

Being that Jack already played the “out of place teacher” role he would be a logical fit for this. And of course he would be playing the same old Jack Black but this time he will have the mystic power to make other people fart with the flick of his pinky finger.

I don’t know that I am sad about Jack walking away from this. I am not sure if I would even want to see it. If it does get made with someone else, I think the film would have a completely different feel to it and maybe that will sell it for me.

Maybe its just that I thought guy witches were called Warlocks. Who knows?

I’m glad he did. He prevented himself from catching the “will farrell” disease.

I think Jack, walked because this character conflicts with his Tenacious D persona.
