We have news today that Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon will be starring in a yet to be titled Cameron Crowe picture. We get the scoop from our friends at comingsoon:
Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon will star in an untitled Cameron Crowe romantic comedy adventure at Columbia Pictures, reports Variety. The studio is keeping the logline of the contemporary-set project under wraps. The movie will begin filming in January when Stiller and Witherspoon’s schedules open.
On paper this seems like another formulaic romcom in the making. This is probably one of my least favorite genres and I never usually look forward to them; this is no exception. Once we get some details regarding this film – we will be certain to give you the heads up.

Yeah even though I didn’t like Vanilla Sky or Elizabethtown, I still think Crowe earned enough goodwill for me with Almost Famous and Jerry McQuire and Say Anything to be given the benefit of the doubt especially with a Rom com, seems like it would fit nicely in his body of work. I also like both of the stars. Could be good.
