It looks like Doc Oc will be joining Ben Kingsley and co. in Prince of Persia. We get wind of this casting thanks to the professionals at Variety:
Alfred Molina will join Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley in Disney’s “Prince of Persia,” the Mike Newell-directed adaptation of the Ubisoft fantasy actioner. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing. Molina will play Sheik Amar, who becomes a mentor to the prince. Shooting is slated to begin in July in the U.K. and Morocco.
Molina was kick ass as Doc Oc In Spiderman 2. I was introduced to the man through that performance, and will forever count his addition to any film as good news. Ben Kingsley and he are solid pillars of talent in which to build a film upon. Could this be a video game movie that bucks the trend and ends up kicking ass? ….we shall see!

He looks like jake with that haircut
dont forget – he was the dude that crossed indy in the first five minutes of raiders of the lost ark! epic
DAMN U GEOFF!!! Thunder stolen…I’ll have to go with second best AM reference, he got to have wild alien sex with Sil in Species.
Here we go with the whole: “Maybe this video game movie won’t suck”. Yes, it will. Sad to hear so many great actors signed on to the film, though.
Silent Hill already broke the trend.
Oh GOD!!!! This project is already doomed to fail horribly!!!!!!! why? You ask. First, I still think bringing in unknown actors to play the parts would better in the long run. Second, It’s being made by Disney (Yes yes I know i actually liked the Incredibles) but say goodbye to all the juicy, bloody gore. Yea, in the first game they are sand creatures but you need to think ahead the next games cause they will more then likely try to suck this franchise dry by make YET ANOTHER trilogy. And I personally doubt the Disney can truly grasp the darkness of the games. seeing as how Disney only just started making PG-13 movies and most of the reason behind that is because of the semi-violence in the pirate films. And I HIGHLY DOUBT that Disney is ready to bump their movie up to an R rating.
Now, on to the subject at hand, seeing it know, yes I think Alfred Molina would be good for the movie (If he keeps his beard, he looks fat without it, See Spider-Man 2 if you don’t believe me.)
