These covers are pretty alright. I would have preferred action shots of the Joker and Batman, but the close-ups of their faces allow me to look deep into their eyes during the lonely times. International friends – what do you guys think?

There’s actually a third cover too. If you’re a subscriber you get the Batman cover but with the Joker having scrawled HAHAHAHA and BIG SMILE over it and made Batman a nice smile.

Why must 90% of Batman movies have the Joker? It’s so damn tired…like having Lex and Supes in every film.

I think many can agree that the Joker cover is better than the Batman cover. The nose looks odd Im not dissagreeing with that. However it seem you are implying that someone put a diffrent nose on that picture of Batman and if your not, well then I dont remeber anyone complaining about the nose before in the TRAILERS or other PHOTOS that have been released. Also i make it a valid point to mention that all complaints about this film have been trival to that of adults, but not to kids. Let me explain, the most common complaint has been that Batman looks too small. Well thats subjective critisim because at the same time someone can say Batman in BB was too big. It doesnt change the fact that Bale did a fantastic job with playing both roles. Like John says ” Films are all subjective”. However, in this case were not talking about the film now are we? We are commenting on photos that are publicity for the film. Whats not subjective is the nose looks odd so anyone who approve the photo before print needs glasses. This doesnt mean anything really cause if you seen the trailers the movie looks to be a good film and thats what matters. The last thing i like to mention is the last word you used ” Excessively Judgemental” Well I think lots of ppl are guilty of this anyway but I like mention out of all the ppl complaining about magizine covers and saying they dont like Batman face because of it even though they never complained about it with any other photos seems a bit childish and is even more “Excessively Judgemental” than any statements I made before.
I really don’t think it is bitching and moaning really. the question is, “What do you think?”.
In that vein “I think the photo they used for this cover makes Batman look less menacing by giving him a ridiculous looking nose” is a valid point. That being said, perhaps the only reason comments like this are being made is becuase there has been so much coverage of everything Dark Knight. No one is saying the movie looks stupid, looks dull, what have you (ok maybe some are, but I ain’t). If you give us consistently solid promo material that is dazzling, then anything less than stellar will stand out even more. A perfect example of this is this cover. Yes they are just magazine covers. Fine. But to say anyone is no better than a five year old because they think the covers don’t stand up to the rest of the promotional material seems a little excessively judgemental.
@ GRAVE: okay good point, I don’t take back what I say about the nose, but at the same time I really didn’t like the look of the ears in Batman Begins, and now I love it… so initially, yeah I may not like the cosmetics at this point, but between the cast and Nolan, I agree this movie will kick ass and we shouldn’t bitch and moan about the looks until we see it in action.
OMG!! I cant believe this? I really feel the IQ of this topic post gone down several points. There just magizine covers for god sake. Oh my !! Now there magizine covers for The Dark Knight! Forget the toys, posters, TV ads, movie trailers, and online marketing. Now that there are some plain magizine covers for The Dark Knight so now Im gonna start a negative rant about Batmans nose or some trivial thing that real fans dont care about. His nose if fine its only a camera angle, Joker looks fine. The only trouble is that there just dull photos thats it. If you think the marketing is too much well then you forgot about the marketing on Episode I. That movie was everywhere for the whole summer. This is no bigger than an average summer movie and if you want to piss and moan about some stupid pics that arent even from the movie then your no better then a 5 year old kid.
Can’t wait til the movie, but I agree the batbeak is a little ridiculous
I think my brain is starting to ignore Dark Knight material as we are getting assaulted with SO MUCH.

I saw a new commercial for this last night during the NBA Finals. At least, it was new to me since I haven’t been watching the commercials that have been released online. July really can’t get here soon enough. June is looking like a bust to me, unless The Incredible Hulk surprises the hell outta me.
My anticipation for this movie has also gone down. It’s like the huge pile of marketing shit has smelled up the movie itself.
Not impressed and even though I am still amped for this movie, I’m starting to get a little less excited…don’t know why but my anticipation has most definitely gone down a notch. Maybe it’s a feeling that this might be bad…but then again with my low anticipation I might enjoy it more! Boy I hope this movie is not a let down!

As much as I am looking forward to this movie, these covers are terrible. The Joker looks like someones bad halloween costume imitation of The Joker and The Batman looks like Bruce Wayne is Jimmy Durante.

Is it just me, or does Batman’s nose look a little…prodigious? Like they made it for adrian Brody or something.
I think they really are keeping the Two-Face thing under wraps. otherwise it would equal 4 covers.
