Cyclops cast for XMen Origins: Wolverine
A little tidbit about X-Men Origins: Wolverine reveals that Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Logan may have crossed paths. This was hinted since the role of Scott Summers has been cast and filled by an unknown Tim Pocock
Australian actor Tim Pocock listed as playing Scott Summers (Cyclops) in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.‘A1ant’ then followed-up with the agency who confirmed the casting. “Yes, that information is correct. He was cast as the younger Scott Summers,” they said.
Now this could mean that Wolverine tripped over a younger Scott Summers before and didn’t really meet him.
Scott could be leaving a taxi as Wolverine hops in. It’s all vague at this point.
I would wager on the cameo since the actor hired is a complete unknown, and that they would have a hard time explaining why Scott didn’t make reference to it in the subsequent X-Men films.
At very least it shows that the creators are attempting to continue the tradition of name dropping in the XFilms.
Looking forward to see how they tie this in.
Hurm…..Does this mean scott will actually do something this time around?

i doubt that. this is a origin movie and the lack of action from the last x-men movies will carry on to this one in cyclops case.
and hes a younger cyclops, what you and the rest of us should be hoping for is for wolverene to have good action scenes specially in the potential deadpol fight scenes.

WTF??? If this is an Origins movie then this is lame…there is no Scott in Wolvie’s background ….good grief, are they trying to make this movie stupid?? Okay, I might be over reacting. We’ll have to just wait and see.
how on earth can they show a young kid as wolverine, WITH claws??? He got the claws as an adult.rite

I love The Wolverine story but this movie is going to be so bad. All the cameos are going to ruin it they won’t have time to explain a set story, because they will be to busy explaining everyone elses story
I’ve never been too excited about this movie.
I loved X-Men because of the large number of heroes and seeing all their powers on the big screen. That’s what X-Men is, lots of powers.
A movie just about Wolverine seems boring, I know he is the most popular but I just can’t get excited about his origin story.
But now with all these other mutants coming on the scene, I am more interested yet wondering what their goal is in this flick.

and i never liked scott..how does that guy take a shower? the water will ruin the shades- and without them hes blinded- soooo uuumm. what if his eyes itch from alergies and he has to rub them? i bet his hands will desinifigratificate
The shades are actually a Ruby-Quartz mix, so no chance of ruining there from water. All he has to do is close his eyes so he won’t incinerate someone.
Potentially, Scott is as cool a character as Wolverine. I know a lot of Wolvie fans would disagree….and that’s all right….cause they do have a good argument. But let’s get one thing straight…when you make a character look like an egotistical hard ass and a jerk….who’s gonna like him. That’s what they’ve done with Cyclops.
Make Scott like he was at the very beggining of it all. The leader and big brother to all the X-MEN….AND FOR ONCE PORTRAY HIM LIKE THE SUPERIOR LEADER THAT HE IS…someone who is mentally 2 to 3 steps ahead of everyone else. They have never truly done this right…except for that moment when he took Magneto out to give Wolvie his shot at destroying the machine in the first Movie…and maybe when he figured out what Magneto was going to to with the machine(Wolverine blurted it out…but we all know that Scott was the one who already pieced it together)…..BUT THAT’S IT. I mean…Batman is a great leader, Nightwing is a great leader…Cyclops should have simillar leadership abilities, but the writting on Foxes’ movies are so pathetic that they can’t even begin to convey this.
If I were in charge of the idiotic writters of these movies, I know what I would want to see in Scott Summers. I would tell the writters to give me a battle of wits between Magneto (or Dr. Sinister) and Scott Summers. I would further tell them to make it simillar to the mental & verbal fencing that went on between Operations & Michael of the tv series “La Femme Nikita”. Now that was a battle of wills & mental abilities. Natuarlly, Scott would be Michael, and Magneto would be Operations. And I am not asking for a carbon copy of Operations & Michael….but for Scott Summers aka Cyclops to be written in that vain.
But why even worry about it….Fox is too stupid, and will continue to shove Wolverine up where the sun don’t shine….as far as fans of the X-Men series is concerned.
