I can watch this for hours. John Cusack is a great actor and I would love to see what Diablo Cody can do with her new horror flick. Thanks for the post Doug.
Great interview. I just want to know when Cusack is going to make Cosmic Banditos.
I want more of this. Intelligent creative people talking about their process is always fascinating to me.
I am mildly disturbed that Cody thinks that Raimi style horror is “Classic Horror”. I guess there’s no fast and hard rules about it, but I guess that on hearing “Classic Horror” most people in the film community would think she meant perhaps the 30/40s Universal classics, not campy 80′s schlock. Why are so many people under 35 so afraid to embrace the rich heritage of film made before 1980?
Because people have lost appreciation for classic cinema.
