Without a Paddle 2
The direct to DVD train rolls on! We have word today about the release of Without a Paddle 2 thanks to our friends at moviehole:
They still haven’t found a cure for that dreaded case of sequelitis, but word is it’s been sourced to a spring in Burbank. Paramount have come down with a case of it this week, with word tickling in that they’re currently casting – wait for it… - “Without a Paddle 2”.As far as I can tell, the sequel – which be going direct-to-DVD – has nothing to do with the original, so won’t feature the characters played by Seth Green, Dax Shepard and Matthew Lillard. Instead, it fixes on a character named Zach, who promises an old dying woman that he’ll track down her long-lost granddaughter so they can unite before the woman fades away. He, and two others (Nigel and Ben) head off in search of the lost girl – and get up to all-the-expected hijinks along the way.
I don’t remember the first Without A Paddle, and am confused why a sequel is in order. But if one must be made - direct to DVD seems to make the most sense. The direct to DVD phenomena seems to be rolling at a pretty good clip and I am interested in finding out how lucrative this shit is for the studios. I am sure that some of these films may be good, and the only way we will be able to find out is to take some risks, and share the gems with friends.

Were enough people interested in the first movie to warrant a second? Then again, I guess it doesn’t really take any interest for some companies to warrant anything…….
Seth Green, why or why did you do the first movie!? WHY?

I remember watching the first one a few years back. It was fucking bad, like real fucking bad, actually that’s an understatement, it was worse than fucking bad, it was puke my anus out my mouth bad.

The first one was utterly forgettable. Not bad, but not good either. It deffinatly doesn’t deserve a sequel.

Guys, do your research. You post a news about this sequel stating that you haven’t seen the first one. You post a news about hyperion cantos without being familiar with the books in question. Are you simply copy-pasting from other sites? I could visit them instead. Post something about YOU know. Otherwise you could copy-paste physics and investment advices as well.

All you litte dinks sound like you know squat about who is in the flick or whats going on with the plot and you sure as hell dont know that this is going straight to video. So you should all shut your cake holes unless you know something worth hearing. Those of you who know the facts as to where & when filming is going on is at least legit info, the rest of you pre-pubs get off mommies computer. By the way filming for without a paddle 2 was at the highschool in Estacada today..

Yes they filmed some shots at Clackamas River Elementary this morning 5/9/08. I’m thinking the fliming they did in Carver a few weeks back was for this same film!

They’re filming a chunk here in Portland right outside my apartment door and it looks dumb. I can’t go outside without about 100 people giving me a stupid look. Everyone should go outside and do something real rather than sit around and watch something fake on T.V. anyway.

I was one of the extras for this movie & they did filming in Estacada for extras on the 9th. They filmed at Clackamas River Elementry for part of the day, they changed the sign temporarily to say Palm Ridge High. then they went to the high school to shoot the inside scenes. I don’t know about anyone else, but unless you were an actual part of it, you shouldn’t say anything.

They are filming about two minutes from my house at Eagle Fern Park. They have the entire park closed. They’ve been setting up for a couple of weeks now.

It is sad that they closed the park. It was (and is) such a pretty day. A nice day for a stroll in one of my favorite Oregon parks.
Yes, they are young actors. Though there is another that some of you may know. Kristopher Turner. He co-stared in a Canadian sitcom called “Instant Star”.

They have been setting up in the warehouse across the street from my work, for the indoor scenes. the building is over by OMSI. They have set up a “Base Camp”, it’s pretty crazy, lots of people running around! They are filming the indoor scenes in the warehouse and then the outdoor scenes in Estacada and Eagle Fern Park, etc. We got to take a tour of the set of the tree house and another room they are using in the movie, it was Amazing!!! All the detail they put into the work of the sets…! Wow! It’s fun to watch them set up, we got to go over and watch them set up a bit, we saw them painting the sign for the Palm Ridge High. It will be fun to see all this in the film. I wasn’t too into the first one, though I did think it had some great comedy. I will for sure see this one because I got to see them set up so much of it!

Seth isn’t in this one. A guy from Paramount told us Terry Bradshaw was supposed to be in it but he threw out his back the week before. He may have been replaced…

I’m from Russia. So my English isn’t so good. And I have to say sorry for it.
Can somebody explains me why was this movie taken in short time? Just, Kristopher Turner writes in her web-site that movie was already taken.
