We have a promo image of Starship Troopers Marauder for you guys to check out today thanks to the good people over at moviehole:
I enjoyed the first Starship Troopers, I wasn’t a huge fan of the story but I like Verhoeven and the soundtrack was by the glorious Basil Poledouris. On recommendation from many I skipped the second installment, but may check it out before this third is released. Space marines shooting the hell out of aliens on far off worlds should never be a bad time, and with luck this film will surprise us all.

I bought the second installment before I heard any of the reviews about it, assuming I would like it very much since I thoroughly enjoy the first.
I doubt you’ll be missing anything if you just keep on skipping it even with Marauders coming up.
Though seeing Kelly Carlson naked was a high point.

Doug, you’re going to cry when you see the second one. No shooting bugs in far off worlds should never be bad but in the sequel it is. I’d rather watch an Uwe Boll … 18 times in a row than watch SST2 again. But as you I loved the first and Verhoeven and well everything else about it so I’m super psyched for this one. The true sequel regardless if its the third installment or not.
The first STARSHIP TROOPERS is nothing else but bloody brilliant. It’s not a serious movie, it’s a satire and a very smart one at that. I’m always startled by the fact that many people just don’t realize that.
The direct-to-DVD sequel was awful though. Man, that was a disappointment.
Damm I have SST2 on dvd but I havnt watched it yet…
Is it really that bad?
Maybe I’ll pop it in and check it tonight??
I’ll eventually get the SST3 dvd just cause Jollean Balloch is in the movie. Shes looking hot in the pics I’m seeing from the film.
