Robosapien The Movie

Robosapiens2-1It appears that the toy known as Robosapien will soon have its own film. We get the scoop thanks to our friends at comingsoon:

Bobby Coleman will play a boy who befriends a robot on the run from malevolent corporate interests in Robosapien: Rebooted, which has begun filming in New Orleans, says The Hollywood Reporter. The cast also includes Penelope Ann Miller, David Eigenberg, Holliston Coleman, Joaquim de Almeida and Kim Coates.

I have seen the Robosapien toy and it looks like a fantastic toy for youngsters. In fact, I have been tempted to buy the dinosaur version for myself. From what I have read, the toy is popular but has no cartoon to back it up and I am a little surprised to see it get a motion picture of its own. Perhaps the toy is big enough to warrant a film; I guess we will find out soon enough.

I love robots and am excited in the developments that have taken place within my lifetime. Within the next 20 years I am certain that household androids will start to be commonplace; or at the very least, popular among the rich.
