This news is great news. I recall a number of weeks ago, John said on the Now Live in answer to my question "With New Line folding, what does that mean for Meg?"

'Meg' isn't happening anytime soon"

Well, I don't know if the studio will be WB- but with Larry Gordon and Levin- who have produced several films together, including the Tomb Raider flicks, and the Hellboy flicks- I can see them pulling this off. In fact, both are also on next years 'Watchmen'.

While I would love it if Jan DeBont was still attached as director...it would not surprise me if another director would be considered. In fact, I'll make a little prediction...if it *isn't DeBont...it will be Zack Snyder. The director of the Dawn Of the Dead redo, 300 and Watchmen.

Big ass man eating prehistoric shark.
Chunks of chum, buckets of blood.
Cannot go wrong.

As for giant killer Geese...well, there was killer sheep, why the hell not?

***********
I loved Deep Blue Sea, Jamie. The film never bores me. I thought it was one of Renny Harlin's better pictures. But I know what you mean: there are a few CGI shark shots in that film which aren't as convincing as the puppets and animatronic models.

I am super excited about this movie, I just reread the first 2 books last month and I still can't believe this hasn't been made yet. They are very good.
Then again, it would be quite expensive...
