Lost Boys DVD Cover Art

Posted by on 23. 04. 2008in News Chat

The Lost Boys sequel is nearly upon us and it won’t be in theaters (colour me surprised!) So instead of poster art, we are sharing the DVD cover art with you today.

/Film says:

Warner Premiere has released the DVD cover art for Lost Boys: The Tribe, which will be released on DVD and Blu-ray this summer.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I will sum up this poster with a handful of mine. This is what this poster says to me:

Just so you don’t think we are just attempting to monopolize on the franchise name that our target audience hasn’t seen, we will solidify this as a valid sequel and get Feldman to appear. See, he is right there in back. In case you forgot he gets cover billing with his character name and everything.

Oh yeah, we also have the relatable cool kid and the brooding emo grunt and a babe. There HAS to be a babe. And hip motorcycles too.

Buy this. Its really cool. Honest.

So is there enough nostalgia to get you on board to see this?

There is another enbiggened version of the image over at /Film

  1. Wow what a piece of shit.

I’ll be sure to get this…. USED! Sorry Warner, but I’m part of the Original crowd that loved the film for the Vamps and the actors.

    This cover blows.

    ……no, just no. i saw the trailer….for Gods sake…..no

  4. Who tf is Angus Sutherland. What is this 6 degrees of Kiefer Sutherland bs. Don’t tell me he’s actually related? ! ?

  5. It looks like a cheap paperback book cover. Y’know what I would have done? I would have have more of a throwback to the early versions of the original’s teaser posters (“Being Wild Is In Their Blood”) or, at the very least, show all vampires/hunters as part of a group.

I don’t have the foggiest idea why when a film goes right to DVD- especially if it is the intended market- and do such a piss on this job. No thought. no effort. It just is.

I wasn’t too comfortable with this anyway.. but the fact they seem to be clutching at straws by throwing the fact they have Corey Feldman in it at everyone says nothing to me; only making it obvious that this will indeed be a shitfest.

On the topic of the cover, I’ve seen worse but they would’ve done better with a black cover; white font and nothing else.

What ever happened to Cory Haim’s involvement in this film? After watching that horrid TV show “The Two Coreys” I thought he was back for a role in this one?
