I agree... If you are going to venture into Prince Caspian and Voyage, then you really need to finish it off with the Silver Chair. Lion, Witch & Wardrobe is a great stand alone book, the "Caspian" trilogy works best together. I really see no need for Disney to make "A Horse and his Boy" nor "Magicians Nephew" Howver, it would be amazing to see "The Last Battle" on the screen as that was the best of all the books, and brought closure to the series. It would be a miss, not to make that one. So pencil me in for 5 of the 7. In my honest opinion, they really should have skipped all the other books, and went right for "The Last Battle" as it is the most logical Sequal (Prince Caspian starts a new story, and The Last Battle returns the story back to the LWW) I think the Disney people forgot to read the books first, before they decided wich books to make into movies.

When talking about movies and their sequels people love for the characters to repeated/ carried over from one film to another. So I am guessing Disney looked at this concept and said we can only do three films maybe four. These three (four) films will focus on the four Pevensie children, these three (four) films are: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy) Prince Caspian (Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy), The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Edmund, Lucy), (The Last Battle(Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy but only at the end of the story)). But if you look at the whole series there is always at least one character being carried over from one story to the other. In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe the Pevensie children take their first trip to Narnia and Digory Kirke makes appearance as the professor. In Prince Caspian the Pevensie children are called back to Narnia to help Prince Caspian. In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader only Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are called back to Narnia to help Prince Caspian again but this time their cousin Eustace Scrubb has joins them. In The Silver Chair Eustace Scrubb is called back to Narnia, him and his school friend Jill Pole help an older Prince Caspian. The Horse and His Boy is a side story about other countries in the land of Narnia that also includes brief appearance by all of the Pevensie children as kings and queens of Narnia. The Magician's Nephew is a prequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe that center around Polly Plummer & Digory Kirke. The Last Battle center around Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole even though all the children come back in the end.

Nor do I Slushie. I just found it funny that Disney says its gonna be three then put a call in to direct #4.

This is just like when I talked to a Toshiba rep about HDdvd closing doors and he had some compelling arguments as to Toshiba's long term plans to fight it out. Then 4 days later they went public with the decision to stop making HDdvds.

The PR guys are often the last to know. Irony.

I loved the entire book series, so I have no problem seeing each and every one as movies.
