Crank 2 To Begin Shooting

Filming is set to begin on Crank 2 in the sunny land of Los Angeles. We get wind of the production start thanks to the wonderful people at comingsoon:
Variety reports that Lakeshore Entertainment has found its leading lady and villain for sequel Crank 2: High Voltage, starring Jason Statham as hit man Chev Chelios. Amy Smart will reprise her role as Chelios’ girlfriend and Clifton Collins Jr. will play his nemesis.
Bai Ling also is joining the cast, along with Dwight Yoakam and Efren Ramirez, who are both returning from the original. In “Crank 2,” Chelios faces a mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working. Filming begins April 28 in Los Angeles on the film, which Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor wrote and will direct.
It’s good to see the same gang back for the second installment. Dwight Yoakam was deligtful as the on call doctor in Crank, and the sequel wouldn’t be the same without him. I am overjoyed
that this film will pick up the instant the last film ends. This is what I was hoping for, and I am delighted that this over the top film will continue to be just that.
Of the new casting additions I am most excited about Bai Ling. This girl is a vivacious sexual deity that has caused me to ruin many pants as a result of relentless, untamed boners.
With filming set to take place in Los Angeles, hopefully we will be able to score some set visits and get you some saucy scoops from the set as the film unfolds. With luck Mark “the impenetrable” Neveldine and Brian “the usurper” Taylor will return to TMB:Uncut for a live broadcast once again and discuss the film after completion.

Ya i saw casting calls for Crank 2 on LA Casting for background workers. It might be good. But Im excited the Nashville Film Festival still has 3 days left! You guys have to check it out. There are so many cool things going on this month see the link below.

Crank was very well done. So I’m interested in seeing the plot they have so they can get back to the action that made the first so great.

Does this next installment take place in some purgatory hell. (I mean come on he’s dead at the end of the first film).
doug, that line just made my day!!! but too bad she doesn’t give me the same effects.
dont think i will be seeing this….i really wanted to see the first one and it disappointed the hell out of me….it was bad.
and this one doesnt seem to be different. i dont find bai ling attractive at all, but i dont know, it my surprise me.

This plot sure sounds lame.
The first time I saw Bai Ling was in the Crow. She was okay, nothing great. Next up was the drama-thriller Red Corner, where I saw her having decent acting chops.
Then I hear she’s this eccentric nut. Then I hear she’s bitching that her four second part was snipped out of Revenge Of The Sith because Lucas allegedly objected her doing a Playboy spread. Then hear she’s an eccentric nut again.
And no, she’s not that hot.
as for Crank 2, everyone knows how I feel about Crank 1.
Like the idea about the indestructable heart though.
