Neve Campbell joins Vivaldi

Neve Campbell is reportedly signing on with the biopic of Vivaldi, the Venetian priest and Baroque music composer, as well as a famous virtuoso violinist.

ComingSoon says:

Variety reports that Neve Campbell (“Scream” trilogy, Wild Things) has joined biopic Vivaldi, with Joseph Fiennes, Gerard Depardieu, Jacqueline Bisset, Lena Headey, Malcolm McDowell, Elle Fanning and Carice van Houten.

Neve was an early TV Crush for me. Her quirky smile and charming nature came naturally to this Canadian actress who grew up very close to where I now live. I followed her from the cheesy Canadian teen rock show Catwalk to Party of Five and then she hit big with movies like Scream and after a shockingly racy lesbian scene with Denise Richards, she seemed to vanish.

Her strong musical and dance background has placed her with smaller films where she has played a ballerina and a bit part alongside Kristen Bell in Reefer Madness. She plays a singing soda jerk clerk.

She has a classic look and dare I say she is aging rather gracefully. To place her in a period film where she will play a manipulative courtesan is a good fit in my opinion.

Christ almighty, another Biopic with Joseph Fiennes in the lead? Really? Wasn’t Luther and Shakespeare enough? What’s next? “THE DALAI LAMA – STARRING JOSEPH FIENNES”

“Shockingly racy lesbian scene with Natasha Richardson”??? You mean Denise Richardson, right? LOL

Neve did some smaller budget films, I heard, to focus on her dance career, but I bet after a while, everyone misses the BIG BUDGET DOLLARS!!! I know I would! LOL
