Mummy 3 Production Webisode Online

The third chapter of the Mummy Franchise is already knee deep in production and Rob Cohen has offered up some production webisodes to document it all. In this most recent feature, we get to see some of the effects and the people behind them.

Rope of Silicon says:

Rob Cohen offered an update on the official blog for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor to let fans know that his wife recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, but that he also had up a new webisode, this time offering up a look at the visual effects to give fans the feel of what they are up to over at Rhythm and Hues and Digital Domain.

So far in this video we get to see them explain why you don’t have a job at these studios, and that there will be Yeti throwing people off perilously tall ice covered cliffs and armies of marching men – presumably mummy warriors.

I am impressed that this movie is taking TWO major effects companies to combine their efforts for the shots. This in itself offers a lot of promise.

I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m actually looking forward to this one. From what I’ve seen so far it looks like it’ll be a nice big end of summer popcorn movie.

That icon for the film looks strangely like the Mortal Kombat icon only with more heads…

Yeah, is that how many hydra heads Doug gives it? I doubt it will be
