Madagascar 2 Trailer

Madagascar-2-TrailerI absolutely loathed the first Madagascar movie. To me, it perfectly illustrated the difference between studios who make solid story films using the animation medium, and other studios who couldn’t care less about quality, just throw up some talking animals, do fart jokes and know the kids will eat it up. Yes, I thought the penguins were hilarious, but they were a small part of the film.

But the sad truth is that the movie made a LOT of money, and so it was inevitable that a sequel would be on the way. Madagascar: The Create Escape is now descending upon us like a bad flu and I just had the misfortune of seeing the first teaser trailer for it (I have no idea how long this has been out there). Looks as high quality as the first one.

  1. I tried watching Madagascar when it came on cable and couldn’t even make it all the way through I was so utterly bored and I’m less critical when it comes to animated movies since I know they’re made for kids. The only good thing was the penguins and sadly they were a small part. They look like they have a bigger part in the second film, but I’m onboard with wasting my time.

  2. I remember getting out of the movie thinking the same: horrible quality and lame jokes. With the time my opinion changed a little when i thought that the movie was focus on very (damn, VERY) little kids.

Hopefully they learn of their past mistakes… Now that i saw the teaser..it seems apart from putting more of the pinguins they really didn’t learn.

  3. I also don’t understand the the bad rap the original Madagascar gets. I thought it was hilarious and a lot of fun. I’m excited about a second movie.

  4. The first time I saw this trailer was on the Bee Movie dvd.

Quite honestly, I really liked Madagascar and this one looks just as funny. The plane sequence had me laughing hard.

A movie that ALWAYS gets overlooked is The Wild – no one ever freaking mentions it and it’s a great movie.

  5. I really liked the first Madagascar and I’m not one to like animated flicks with talking animals. I will rent it when it comes out, but I won’t go to the movies to see it, unless I drag a female with me so I will look somewhat cool.
