Just watched Michael Moorse documentary "Sicko" and its right on the money regarding the problems with Americas health care crisis. Obama, our next president should review the movie Sicko and institue socialized medicne to our country. It turns out our citizens are being poorly cared for by its government compared to many others. Canada, England, Cuba, France, Italy all have socialized medicine and doctors on cuting edge technology. and the care is free. Taxes pay the medical profesionals and everyone gets equal care, something our coutry is in dire need. Pick up the movie "Sicko"

I don't even know what this "no substance" argument even means. Because he has less experience means he has no substance? I understand if you've read up on him and then decide you don't like his views. To say he has no substance or not enough experience really holds no water. "Looking at the 19 presidents since 1900, three of the greatest were among those with the fewest years in electoral politics. Teddy Roosevelt had been a governor for two years and vice president for six months; Woodrow Wilson, a governor for just two years; and Franklin Roosevelt, a governor for four years. None ever served in Congress." (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/20/opinion/20kristof.html)

Also, Abraham Lincoln served one term in the House of Representatives. ONE. Look at Rumsfeld - very experienced, but "eight retired generals and admirals call for his resignation because of disgust at what they regarded as his abysmal military planning and lack of strategic competence." And so he resigned (albeit not right away). So, again, the "experience" argument really holds no water anymore.

What most people see in him is, quite simply, is him. They see who he his, his character. He motivates people, and I think we forget how important invitations is. The amount of people involved in politics right now is unprecedented, and I feel Obama has contributed to that greatly. That, beyond all the experience and what have you, is what people (and especially us movie goers) connect with. He straight talks, is transparent. His upbringing was incredibly cultured. His LIFE experience is what we need, the ability to make good judgments (like he's said) and (GOD FORBID!) talk to people we don't get along with. (Aren't we taught that in school? To talk things out we don't get along with? I guess when it comes to talking to other nations we don't like, we revert back to kindergarten).

Please define this "substance" he lacks, as I really find that to be a moot point.

I wish Obama was Canadian as well. He would easily win here. There was poll done in Canada http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/310541 which showed that Obama would win by a landslide if he ran for either Liberal Party or Conservative Party which are the two main Canadian political parties and would double the support for whichever party that he led. If he doesn't win in the US it will be such a shame.

All this media romance over Obama just makes me dislike him even more. He's going to be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine this month and it made me want to puke seeing that cover. Just ridiculous how the left wing media (newspapers, magazines, publications) and all of hollywood is worshiping this man before his alter.

No substance? I guess having the Bush's and the Clinton's run your country for 26 years (if Clinton wins two terms) would be your "vision" of substance? Calling Obama a rock star is kind of funny, I think. Didn't Bill pull out his sax a couple times on Leno and Arsenio? Hmmm....

If Canada wants him, they can have him. He's a rock star candidate with absolutely no substance.

"Please don't pair up with Hillary... Please don't pair up with Hillary... Please don't pair up with Hillary"

Think Barack will get my comment?

This guy will not win for the single fact that he's got too many good ideas for the US, and the voters will fuck it up again... We should recruit him to move to Canada! He'd win here with 80% of the vote!
