An anonymous source over at 20th Century Fox got in touch with us over the weekend to relay the news another Aliens vs. Predator sequel is a “certainty” at this point. If you recall, the brothers Strause - who helmed the Christmas release Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem - stated Fox was going to take a “wait-and-see” approach to a third chapter, furthermore, that the story would have to continue in space.
Really? Really? Is a sequel to this really f*cking necessary? I think sequels are society’s kryptonite. I truly do. We all know most sequels are inferior and will most likely suck, but we can’t help it. It’s funny how we fully know a sequel is going to be crap, yet we go see it anyways just for curiousity’s sake. (Hence why studios keep making them!)
What can I say? Am I angry about this news? Nah. I just won’t see it. Certainly, there must be some people who are excited to see this movie, because the second film wouldn’t have made so much money if nobody wanted to see it.
So who really cares to see another ‘Aliens vs Predator’ sequel? Make yourselves known!

I also thought avp: 2 was way better then the first one, just by taking the predator back to the original look and being an ass kicker, but am I looking forward to a 3rd…? Surprisingly, I am going to so no. Unless… they finally take it off earth, through in some marines, and not have a dawson’s creek plot and cast I might get interested in another.
Personally, I would rather just see a stand alone new Predator movie…

Love the concept of these films but the two films made so far have been mediocre at best mostly worse than that, people say third times a charm so i’d like to see this done right if it is made at all. Set in space on another planet, more aliens more predators and the only humans should be baddass gung ho marines.

AVP/AVP2 have already almost killed off the Alien series - it’s originality, atmosphere and story telling is but a distant memory and it’s a shame that the generation who won’t have seen the Alien movies probably won’t be bothered because hey! we have AVP… makes me sick.

My complaint is not enough predator vs alien action in either film. In the first film, how in the hell do 1 alien take out 2 bad ass predators by himself?..Unbelievable…Next flaw. How is it that the predators face mask can with stand bullets, but not withstand the second mouth that the preator has, and bite right thru it to kill the second predator? unbelievable.

I think that avp2 was better that the first one. In avp1 and avp2 both humans won the battle so what is the point in even making a aliens vs predator. Better put the Title Aliens vs predator vs humans. But if they want to inprove it they should do it in a planet where aliens already exist and the predators just show up and start the battle. I think that they did a great job on the movies! like most people i grew up watching these movies and they get more and more creative each time, i not saying i think that avp 3 is a good idea but i they go threw and make a nother one they need i keep up the quality of the picture and plot because i dont know if its just me but when producers start making a series by the end it looks like a buntch of finger puppets. well……. its better than most of the new ship they just throwing out! If aliens vs Predator 3 comes out i will be stand in line for a ticket on opening day!

ALIEN VS PREDATOR is very good and The Requiem Is also very good!!! This movie is wonderfull Predator is the strongest and he is determend to kill them or die. He just goes after them a real hunter. I love the technology they use weapons. The action is good exept if they fight with fists then is isn’t much of prefomence but I just love that movie. He goes to earth and find his friends dead in the ship. And therefore it looks like he is taking revange. What i would like to see is some more predators in their homeland. They are the most powerfull race there is. Everything is good of predator the movies the games the stripbooks they are really good. I dreamed of Aliens vs predator ever since i readed the strip books. I hope they make a 3de one.

Tbh i think the 2nd avp was pretty decent, they had really bits in it, even though its supposed to be ALIEN vs PREDATOR, so if they are to make a third one it should be aliens vs predators with out humans at all, so i’m suggesting aliens are bred on the predator home world and there is a mass infestation and a mass war?

I agree that the 2nd movie was better then the 1st but with that said they did give all of us a bit more insight into the backgrounds of these Predators. If their is to be a 3rd movie let it happen in space on the Predators home world. Let us all see how this war begain let Batman Begins let us see the beginning of the Predator and Aliens. A presequel to all the movies before now that would be a kick ass movie.

I thought the 1st one was amazing, and the 2nd one was awesome, the only thing I had to complain about the 2nd one, is that it was WAY to dark, and I wish we could of saw more of the Predalien, but I am all up for a third one, I think it should be a trilogy and thats it, then make an Alien 5 and a Predator 3. But thats my honest opion, i think there should be at least more than 3 Predators in the new AVP film, it gets kinda boring when there 3 or less, I mean seriously… lol but anyways, I am very much looking forward to a Alien vs. Predator 3, as long as they don’t make it to dark, and as long as they put more Predators, and a much better cast.

The should make the 3rd movie more like die hard 4 non stop action. over the top stunts. it would be awesome. I totally agree with the marine’s sugesstion, but the should be like master chief you know with awesome suits and alot of firepower. no drama nothing. only action”humans find facehuggers and queen they escape contaminate the cvillized area of the human colonie in space. aliens hatch terorize the city for a couple of days/weeks till they reach adulthood. then the action really starts, predators arrive because they planned the whole thing to hunt some aliens.But earth send in elite marines to help the colonie and all hell braks lose” explosions,guts,blood,heads and weapons everywhere. ou can take it from here.

I thought the first was for the kids and the second was more for the fans Ok I do agree the beginning of the second movie is a little Dawson creek but I think they justify that later when they cut that hott blonde in half with a pred death frisby and also by killing women and unborn babies! I mean c’mon that was pretty harsh and the reason the humans are constantly in these movies is to give it some kind of plot. But they don’t seem to us it to there advantage. They should have someone come in find some kind of alein pred temple and tell the story narration style then they could have a plot without having talking aliens and preds nonstop action and even in the main story add some ass kicking marines but not add a subplot just have them help the story along

So many good things and so many bad things.
-First of all, there’s no problem with a sequel - it’s a comic!
-The Predator in Requiem was perfect. these attributes should be maintained for future films- attitude, ability, weapons, appearance.
-The Aliens were good in all movies,except for the gestation period inconsistencies.
-Everything was horrible about AvP 1 and Predator 2 -typical sequel
-The storyline is weak in the film mainly due to the human factor. I want to see the human characters sh*t their pants, unless it’s a character that has earned the ass kicker status like Arnold and Sigourney!

I have to say, the second one was better than the first (not saying much). AVP was a disgrace to both franchises. How dare they make a movie with a predator rated PG-13.
The second one is only better because there was actually blood in it. On the other hand it takes place in Hicksville with cliche characters and an obvious ending. Neither Alien or Predator win. Everyone dies except the one who deserves to.
The silver lining is that AVP is like the super hero movies. They started out utterly stupid to the point where you leave the theatre half way through (catwoman, daredevil, electra…), move on to more acceptable ones (Hulk,Superman,Spiderman…) and finally move on to great ones (Iron Man, Batman Begins…)

I personaly love the alien and predator movies and i a agree that the last two avp movies have been more than a dissapointment. i think if they decided to make an avp3 it should be filmed in space and should involve somewhat of an even battle between aliens, predators, and the marines. Since aliens takes place 57 years before aliens, i think they should introduce an earlier vesion of the M-40 Pulse Rifle into the 3rd movie so that the marines can kick some ass too.
i also think that for a 3rd movie they need to stop this idea that they need to use as many real props and costumes as nessecarry and use more special effects. the books describe the predators as being pretty much super human. we need to be able to show that on film.Show a predator with a glaive taking on 10 aliens and just slicing the crap out of them. All i’m saying is that special effects make sweet movies, look at transformers and iron man.
lastly i think it would be sweet if they had an alien queen fight a fully developed predalien queen. i dont know about the rest of u but that would be badass.

I love both the AvP movies. I know that they’re bad from a movie critic’s point of view, but to me they’re all awesome. I really want a third movie, but I would also like some changes in it, even though I love the movies there are a lot of crap in them. The first movie only had one good fight, and that ended with two preds being killed by one alien. That sucked. Later on in the movie the last pred also befriends the last human. That completely destroyed the predator character. In the second movie, they wanted to make him badass again, and they succeded. That pred killed aliens like it was the easiest thing in the world. But hey, now the aliens are the pussys. That sucks too. I think all that has to change in the third movie. Make the preds and the aliens equal in fighting skills. Make some fights where the aliens wins, and some where the preds wins, and in the end, let the lead pred fight the queen and the marines (yes, use marines) run for their life to get out before the complex explodes or whatever. And then in the end, no one wins and all the fans are happy. Oh, and of course they have to open new doors for a fourth movie. ;)

Big Abe: I think your ideas are interesting, but nothing to put in the movies. Well, sure, the hive making process could be shown, but not entirely. All the things like making giant or flying aliens would destroy the character, I think. Besides, all the stuff you’ve been talking about would completely demystify the creatures, which is bad. I can agree with you that the aliens should be smarter in the next movie, though. They were to stupid in requiem. But that spaceship in ALIEN didn’t belong to the aliens. It was the Space Jockey’s ship, and the aliens were captives in it.

ok i think the 3rd movie should be half on earth and half in space. first off i think its a great idea to have a predalien queen and an alien queen fight to the death.But i think it would be really cool if in the begining the aliens are spreading all over the city and a huge battle is fought with aliens,predators and humans in a place like new york transformers was really cool in the city so i think it would cool if avp 3 was in the city with predator ships blowing up tons uf s**t like tanks and buildings and the aliens are killing tons people and the army comes in with way more people than in avp-r and they do a lot more damage than the coast guard did in avp-r.and i think that this should all be in the future like 20 years after avp-r takes place.so the army or marines can have some really ass kickin guns.so then the predators come and and start demolishing s**t and there are more than 20 predators just on foot killing everything that gets in their way.and then aliens are attacking predators humans are attacking aliens predators are killing everything buildings are blowing up.and i think it would be really cool if dwayne the rock johnson could be in the movie kickin some serious ass.ok so then an alien ands up inside one of the predators but its a queen and then it bursts out and its a predalien queen.so then it gets to out of hand so the air force decides to bomb the city.so the predators get out of there.and about 20 marines get the hell out of there.so the city gets bombed and all the aliens die all but one. so the predators decide to end it once and for all so they go to the alien planet to kill all of the aliens. but the humans follow the predator spaceship not knowing that the predalien queen is on board so they get to the plannet the marines are running like hell off there spaceship shooting and running from the predalien queen also not knowing that this is the alien plannet so a few of them die before they get to the predators spaceship and make a deal to help kill the aliens. so they all start killing all the aliens but the aliens are a lot smarter on their plannet and marines start to disapear and then the alien queen comes out of hiding. and kills a few predators and marines and then she sees the predalien queen and knows shes a threat to her so they go at it and and its a bloody freakin fight but a good one.so the predalien queen wins and heads for the marines so the predators place all the bombs on the plannet and start to leave when they see 5 marines left and they grab em and leave and then they blow there plannet the hell up.so the predators are going back to there homeworld when an alien bursts out of on of the marines chest and attacks the predator driving the spaceship and it crashes on the predator homworld. The end everyones happy tons of action tons of blood tons of aliens and predators and its in space and its on earth so everyone should be happy so if any one reads this that is helping out with the 3rd avp movie please make this into a movie theres just one thing no dawsons creak s**t thats it. Well AVP3 should start off with introducing of the ALIENS HOME PLANET. With a few eggs in this dark deep cave. When unexpected alien cretures stumble upon the eggs. (They Unhatch) The facehuggers inpregant there hosts. The Queen and Warrior Aliens are born. The Queen creates her egg sack while the Warriors create the Hive.

Lex wakes up hollering and screaming looking completely insane, from a nightmare. (Another sleepless night for Lex) As she prepares for work she hears about what happened in Colorado. Her heart starts racing. Staring at her Perdators trophy.
(THE GOVERMENT)
The Secretary of Defiance and the new owner of Weyland Interprize (ITS LEX) combine there forces. The Secretary introduces the PREDATOR PLASMA RIFLE and Weyland Interprize introduces the Alien Queen still frozen but thrawing out. Together they work towards a new goal BIO- ENGINEERED ALIENS. (THE K-SERIES ALIENS)
(PREDATORS)
One of the Oldest Predators from the CLAIN goes on a solo mission. To investigate there new threat. (Because of age differents he relates more on stelf and doesn’t attack) Just collecting data in this underground heavy guarded scientist base. Lex detects movement as she watches the K-SERIES and the ORIGANL ALIENS war to the death. The Predator has been made. He blows her to Kindom Come revealing that LEX was a CLONE. (What does this mean?) Now Perdators must do what they do best KILL. Alarms have been set off. He receives alot of injuries before he makes it back to the ship. Plus the K-SERIES ALIENS have planted one of there eggs on broad. Blasting off into space he disignate a bomb blowing the labs to HELL. While he tries to heal himself the facehunnger inpregant the Predator.
(THE GOVERMENT)
The Goverment declare War admittedly on all ALIENS AND PREDATOR ALIKE. The U.S. Marines Corps of blood thrusty for revenge concerning there died comrades. Advanced weapons have been modified in our favor. Time to KICK ASS and take names people. Companies have been formed and been shipped off into space.
(PREDATORS)
The Predator crash lands on his planet died on arrival. Noticeing gun shot wounds and acid burns. (Could only mean one thing) !!THE HUNT IS ON!! They collect his data from EARTH and ready there arms. Placing there comrade in safe keeping a CHEST BUSTER EXPLODES from his CHEST!!!! (ITS A) PRED ALIEN QUEEN designed from the K-SERIES ALIENS. A BIO-ENGINERED PRED ALIEN QUEEN It goes into hiding. Six Predators blast off into space to bring death to those who apposed them.
(MARINES)
As the Marines are in hyper sleep they receive a destresed single from this unknown planet. (ITS THE ROBOTECT PLANET WHERE ROBOTS ARE CREATED BY ROBOTS)
(CLONE LEX) HISTORY
Lex was created by them for the purpose to gather information to bring back to the planet.
(MARINES)
The distress single was to lure them to the ALIEN HOME PLANET. The same single went to the PREDATORS.
(ALIENS) BLOOD BATH
They both land in different locations. Aliens sence there present and prepare for battle. Killing Marines smart by useing there numbers wisely. (And getting there ASS KICK in the process) The predators ingaged in combat. The WAR is on its a GORY NASTY BLOOD BATH. ALIENS, PREDATORS, AND MARINES get in skillful tactical KILLS. I love the Preds vs aliens vs marines on the planet but I think that maybe instead of one fight seen when the marines evac I think a predator should get on board and start killing tons of marines when they are almost to earth and they crashland killing them all but a single marine tells them everything in his dying words and thats when the marines try to go back and I love the ending with the alien planet and the queen. I’m just making a suggestion you don’t have to like it.

I believe they are going to continue until they think they have it right or they completely kill these franchises, I believe the later will come first. The predator was a great concept…….when the title AVP was released it shut itself down right there. They shouldve Stayed with just naming it Predator 3 and keeping it simple, bringing the aliens in on the franchise was a good move. they shouldve emphized on the on the Aliens more so….and predators….give them both material( backrounds ) ect.AVP I was ok. it moved too quickly. Good character selection….couldve added more time to it and there again emphizing on the aliens/predators. they couldve added some base material from the books that were written on both aliens/predators. Getting ideas from Cameron…Lucas….even francis ford coppola. the directors need more wisdom and experience with this. Its not an insult to them. But they can change not only the way sequels are considered by the general public putting the franchise back on top!!!!!! IF THEY MAKE A PREDATOR 3 it should be WELL thought out. Starting with the Aliens…..possibly genitically engineered by a superrace of beings more powerful than the predators or giving them their own character and history. Like the movie aliens….cameron gave them intelligence and character…..

I would love to see an all out brawl btw Aliens and Predators in another world, hopefully this time they can also add the Space Jockey Race which appeared in the First Alien movie. I thought both the first and the second movies were okay, (a 7 on a scale from 1 through 10). I just need to see more predators, and I need to see them kicking ass like AvP2. I heard the Space Jockey Race were enemies of both, so I’d like to see them get into the mix as well. AvP 3 is a great idea, I’m in!

I think a third installation is NEEDED. As a fan of Alien, and Predator and naturally Aliens vs Predator. I very much wanna see a part three. With how part too ended it’s pretty much a dead give away a third is on the way in a couple years. For those that though Requim was actually good i wonder if you flatlined through the last movie. It was dull city! The only good thing was it was more tradtional with the Predator. The lone warrior kicking butt on multiple Aliens. Although he was a horrid shot with his plasma Caster lol. Hopefully though if a part three is in the works I pray it’s better than Requim. The first one was good, despite the Predators must have been Noods since two got killed by the same Alien, but hopefully part three will get it right. More action, less dull human interaction.

Big Abe your ideas are good but the chances of them coming true are slim, first AVP fim lame as F**k no fricking goar, everyone dies in like two seconds and a Predator makes friends with a bird, what the hell was the guy thinking. Ok Paula AVPR was well better then AVP i mean what the hell, one the predator seemed shocked to find out that his wrist blade melted when he cut the aliens tail off i mean for f**k shake predators know everything about them so make something that doesnt get melted by acid, also why the f**k is the predator taking off his mask when he knows there is tonnes of face huggers around i mean come on you dumb poo predator get a grip. Only thing that was cool is that the predators did look awesome, i loved their long wrist blades but apart from that lame, couldnt believe that one alien killed two predators atleast in AVPR there was good action and the predator ruled in it.

Ok MOON all i can say is thank god your not a director because that is the lamest idea i have ever read, Why would the predator want a human slave? they have got more honour then that and if that comic said about them adopting a female human then making her a hunter you should burn it because once again predator only hunt and respect strong, powerfull, aggresive creatures and a women is none of those. If there is women in the film all they should do is look pretty and help out using their brains or something but leave the physical stuff to the men and the aliens/predators.

I think a good tieing up of loose ends would work well. Have the next AVP take place after alien reserection. Pick up the story after Ripley and the Betty landed on earth. The surviving characters for resurection could perhaps trace the alien horde back to it’s origanal home world. Somehow they could be leading the military there inadvertantly. Along the way they can encounter the predator’s who have since remained silent in earths history. (Because they have been at war with the space jockey race, and both of their worlds have been weakend to a tattered few). We could learn that the Space Jockey ship Ripley found on LV-426 crashed after a predator vessel attacked it. Generally the space jockey race is a peaceful enlightened one, which was attempting to eradicate the alien’s because of their capacity to destroy life on any planet they arrive on. This idea could be spread out over 2 or 3 movies. From a failed expedition to part 1 destroy the alien homeworld, to an 2 earth hive movie, and 3 the final destruction. there is so much potential if some writers would be creative with all the previous movies and tie them into one.

ok Anshoo, nice idea with your last comment but i personally prefer the sotry line being alien,vs predator vs humans. The human fend for themselves just like the Preds and the aliens do. I just want to see a complete war between these three because they have all got there strenghts and weaknesses so no one is really the dominant species. Your idea of in the future is good because new weapons for the humans can be brought in but what i would really like to see is a change of Preds and aliens eg why not have an elder pred that is like 8 feet tall, and the aliens change them a bit like on the x box game. Last point pred vs terminator? anyone else think that would be cool?

The only things wrong with AVPR was the shit acting and the lighting , you needed night vision goggles to see what was going on half the time, and the acting was pathetic.

What do you people want here seriously It’s a cult classic monster movie there isn’t suppose to be any depth your asking for citizen Kane from a movie that is just suppose to be a good time and just eye candy we as a society have be come really stuck up and have forgotten how to have a good time at the movies I was very pleased with what I saw and I think that both chapters were done very well and directors and writers have done a good job tying the two creatures stories together It’s not suppose to have any real meaning to it there is plenty of drivel spewing forth from holly wood ex - sister hood of the traveling pants,legally blonde1&2, just to name a few so get off you high horse I don’t see any of you making a better film but of course we have plenty of room to cut it to pieces though don’t we.

ok well i havent seen the 2nd AvP but, i heard it was alright. But i think that they should do the 3rd Avp this way. Dont let it leave off where the AvP 2 ended. Let it be years into the future. To where humans can develop the technology and go to the predators home planet. When they arrive, theres already a war going on with the Aliens and predators. And then all hell breaks loose. I doubt this would ever happen, but i think its a good idea.

I personally think that they should remake either the “alien” or “predator” movies. The first AVP sucked big hairy schlong, and the second one only drew in the crowds due to their new villain the “predalien” (which kicked arse, but wasnt enough to put the movie on my favourites list). Nether the less, I’ll be interested to see what they do with the third movie. Taking it into space is a good idea.

If I have the money to do it, the AVP movies will look a lot better today.
I watch the first Alien movie when I was seven years old little boy. The scene with a face hugger and chest buster was so scarry to me that time. I remember when I runaway and hide behind the dors when Cain started to scream.
Then the Aliens come to my hand. In about 160 minutes of watching Ive just dont have enough.
Many years past and I never get boreing of all Aliens and Predator movies. I watch hundred of times Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Ressurection, Predator 1 and 2, director’s cut versions, comics, deleted scenes, I even draw by myself some fight scenes and have many ideas for the movie. I also play in AVP,AVP-Gold, AVP2 and Primal Hunt and I remember year 1999-2003 when movie with Alien and Predator fighting together was only a dream to me. Something that will never exist. When I first saw the trailer to AVP movie I freak out. All day jumping in my house and enyojing the trailer. It was something like a dream come tru. Then the AVP2 movie trailer show up. Ive see some aliens but I knew that they wont be so good like the xenomorphs in AVP1…no special effects, no lights, no good action, nothing was good in this sequel. I was so disapointed when I leave the cinema. And now Im hearing that the same guys who f..ck’d up AVP2 want to film AVP3? And Fox is agree with that? No no no! Atleast since it’s in space it can’t be as bad as the first 2 AVP movies. It’s a cool concept so if we see some space battles, better acting, characters, etc. then I think the Aliens and Predator we know will finally be coming back to us. Either that or it could suck royally and then they’d be as dead as s*it.
