8 Simple Rules sequel to become a movie

The book 8 Simple Rules to Marrying my Daughter, the sequel to the book that inspired the TV Show 8 Simple Rules to Dating my Teenage Daughter will be turned into a movie.

I read this while searching for the caves of Yahoo!

Bruce Cameron’s book “8 Simple Rules for Marrying My Daughter,” the sequel to his bestseller-turned-hit TV series, will be brought to the big screen by the producer of “The Devil Wears Prada.”

Cameron is adapting his semi-autobiographical tome into a comedy with co-writer Cathryn Michon, author of the “Grrl Genius Guide” book series. It offers wry commentary in the same vein as his 2001 book “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter,” the basis of ABC’s eponymous series starring the late John Ritter.

The interesting thing about this book turned movie is that the book isnt even out yet. You can read that in April.

Does it still count as a book turned movie if the book and movie are pretty much announced at the same time? Are they double dipping on the franchise on a book and a movie? Does this mean the movie will be closer adaptation of the book?

This is making my head hurt.

I will miss you Mr. Ritter.

    2001: A Space Odyssey.

The film and the book were created together, and the movie came out first.

I think this movie will bomb and here is the reason:
John Ritter can not be replaced

  4. Rodney says:

Bryan, This movie has nothing to do with Ritter’s show. This is the only image I could find that had anything to do with the series of books.

This is a movie based on the sequel to the book that inspired the TV show. This is not a sequel to the TV Show.

They don’t have to replace Ritter, because there is nothing to replace.

D: I don’t think that this is going to be good, the series was too good that I know I’m going to be disappointed.

    Rest in peace John Ritter.
