Wes Craven Set To Helm 25/8

WesWes Craven, the master of creepy and lord of spooky will be heading up a new project titled 25/8. We get the scoop thanks to our friends at moviesonline:

Recently there was rumor going around that Wes Craven’s next project was going to be a film called “25/8”. Today Variety confirmed that bit of news and gave us some more details on what exactly to expect. The film unveils a signature villain, a serial killer who turns up 15 years after his purported death, to kill the seven children born on that fateful night. Rogue has given the project the greenlight and everything should begin rolling in April.

This sounds cool. Killing people because their birth date matches the day you were supposed to die, is the clearest message a killer can give when they wish to inform people that they are alive and well. Killing because of birth date has a very biblical feel to it. Instead of killing the first born of Egypt, Cravens’ creeping death simply prefers a more specific group of people. Seven children add to the biblical theme and also provide ample lambs for slaughter in the film.

Moviesonline goes on to say that this is going to be more thriller than horror, and that is fine with me. Normally I prefer horror, but Wes Craven is a talented storyteller and I look forward to seeing what direction he takes this. We will be sure to keep you posted on the progress of this one and keep you abreast of the situation.

I cant wait till this movie comes out!!!
but the creepy thing is that people are killed according to the date of their birth.

  2. I missed the day to try out to be an extra for this, and I heard that there’s some way to become one even if I missed the tryouts. How do I do that?

  3. I am SOOOO looking forward to this! :)

Wes is an amazing storyteller…his New Nightmare was something so original and so underrated. Just as long as he doesn’t get his son onboard to co-write with him like he did for ‘The Hills Have Eyes 2’ Yeesh!
