In the movies they can get the same message across without the sexual scene. But I am sure they would but some in there lol. Other thing is they dont have to come up with a good ending in the movie. At first I wasn't sure if it would gain enough popularity, but with the recent wave of relativly unknown comic titles, like Scott Pilgrim and Kick Ass, being turned into films, I now have high hopes. The only real problem they might have is the sexual scenes, and MOST of those happen in the later issues anyways. I'm not sure where they would start or stop with the story if it was a movie though. There doesnt really seem to be a good ending, especially if they start at the very beggining. I honestly hope this movie is released. Hopefuly! make a bulk of their money on dvd sales compaired to theatrical! The prob with that is it would need sequels to complete the storyand most films that rake in money on dvd or blue-ray don't get goood sequels!!! Depending on the angle they approach it, I could see a mellowed-out version hitting the screen with a PG-13 or R rating, while still keeping some of the core elements that make the comic so great. This is likely what is going to happen, similar to what I am seeing with Watchmen. At the same time, I really wouldn't mind seeing a NC-17 or NR (Not Rated) version that does stay true to the comic source; violence, sex, drugs, blackmail, and even moral dilemmas and a love story. I am a little worried though, I want them to stay faithfull to the original comics but they are so viceral & violent I cant see Columbia making a movie that nasty. It is such a shame that one of the most original, dark and fierce comics will probably slip-by-unnoticed by the masses when it's released on the big screen.
