The one disappointment, and a big one, is the Adrian Helmsley character. They made that character out to be a moron. Crying about letting everyone know early? That's insane. Believe me, I would NOT be one of those fortunate few to have a ticket, but I would not want to know too early. Then I would be spending my final days on Earth, defending my home from panic stricken people, trying to steal my water and canned goods. Then, taking control of their ship at the end? Just feel fortunate to be on the ship and stop crying. If he had done his job correctly in the first place, their early estimates would not have been off so bad. Yes, it's just a movie, but I'd prefer it be more believable so if there is a sequel, please omit this moron. For the most part, I thought the movie was awesome. The only real disappointment to me was it's audio, even in the movie theatre ..Hopeing it would be better on blu-ray in my home theatre I purchased it the other day and again I was disapointed finding the Sound effects lacked bass and rumble effect. The upper frequencies were fine but lower sub bass levels were no existant compared to other new movies e.g Star Trek 11 and Transformer 2 (ROF) .Unfortunately 2012 needed a better sound engineer !! The effects are impressive and will fool the viewer. Over all it appears to be a touchy subject for many people. If these events were to occur, the African continent, would be one of the first continents to break apart into several land masses. The rift valley in Kenya, leading the way. This is a detail overlooked by the people who speculated as to how the world would look after such an event. More than likely, the place in Tibet that was flooded, would likely be the place least damaged, much less flooded, were these events to occur. Don't waste your money or time on this one. Even the teenagers in the audience tonight weren't buying this blunder so it gives me hope for this generation.
