The medical report has come in, and they are now saying that the official cause of Heath Ledger’s death was “an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs” dispelling whatever lingering rumors there were about possible cocaine or other illegal narcotic abuse causing the actors death.

Clearly Ledger was in a world of turmoil if he was taking all that stuff at the same time, but evidently it was NOT suicide, but rather a tragic result of unintentionally over doing prescription medication.

No need to drag this out. Ledger will be missed, and we all lament the loss of future performances he may have brought our way. At least now one less shadow can be cast over his tragedy.

He had so much more to offer the world. May he rest in peace.

Oxy, Vicodin, Xanax, Valium and Sleeping Pills. Dude, that is a death cocktail waiting to happen. Oxy and Vicodin will slow down your respiratory system and then sleeping pills on top of that, you are asking for trouble.

  3. @T-Vo - my sentiments exactly. It was obviously not prescribed all by one doctor (I sure as hell hope not!). But yes, all of those combined is a sure fire DOA. It is unfortunate he died and he will definitely be missed. But I think the papers are just being nice to not spread any rumors about drug addiction, depression or suicide. But if you ask me, this was not an “accidental overdose”. If it is, thats quite a “whoops!” moment.

I think the deadly drug cocktail makes Heath a nominee for the Darwin awards if it wasn’t a suicide. Vicodin, Oxycotin, AND a host of tranquilizers at the same time? Geezus. Idiot.

Shit who needs illegal drugs in the mix when you are throwing all that in your system??!!? He couldn’t have been prescribed all those by one doctor. If so, then they clearly would have been labelled as to be taken in conjunction with the other meds.

And to quote - an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs” - does a list that long sound accidental? Maybe one or two but at the least the autopsy is listing 4 different ones - and probably more. That doesn’t sound accidental to me.

Labelling Ledger’s Death as accidental overdose is being very kind indeed.

  6. Wonder what all the assholes who were damning him to hell without a shred of evidence have to say now…

What kind of effin retard takes all that and expects to wake up the next day.

I loved this guy as an actor, and wish this had never happened, but who the f*ck is looking after celebs these days, do they actually know anything?

If anything, he’d have been better smokin a bit of pot, and having a couple of lines, then taking all that crap.

I agree, definate candidate for a celebrity Darwin award, as this cant possibly be classed as an accident, its either suicide or idiocy and I call down right IDIOCY!
