This is a happy day for horror fans everywhere. Sam Raimi is making a return to horror after a 16 year absence since directing his last horror film, ‘Army of Darkness.’ (That’s if you don’t count ‘The Gift’ as a horror film.)
What’s even better news is that the film titled ‘Drag Me to Hell‘ has acquired the recently Oscar-Nominated, Ellen Page to star in it!
Shocktillyoudrop.com reports that Page will play the recipient of a supernatural curse.
I, for one am very psyched about this news. I am very confident that this will be an exceptional horror movie, as well as for the fact that Ellen Page is a superb casting choice, since she is no stranger to the horror genre. In fact, her gripping and shocking performance in 2006’s Hard Candy, was the first film I even took notice of this very talented actress.
‘Drag Me to Hell’ is set to go into production March 17 of this year, and the script was also co-written by Sam Raimi’s brother, Ivan Raimi. (Sweet!)
Maybe it will help with the bad taste that was Spiderman 3….hope springs eternal!

Raimi’s lost a lot of my faith. I’m hoping this fares better than his other Ghosthouse Pictures films.
I like it a lot.
If you’re going to go into the horror genre, I can’t think of a better director than Raimi.
And from her perspective, there’s no better way to broaden the range of roles people think you’re capable of than heading into a horror film by none other than Sam Raimi.
When I read that headline, I thought, “Drag me to hell? Is this about seeing Juno again?”
