And don't forget Bardem's Oscar nominated performance in the Julian Schnable (Diving Bell and the Butterfly) directed Before Night Falls. He's a great actor.

I saw Cassandra's Dream Woody Allen's latest over the weekend and it's better than most films out there - just not when compared to Allen's really amazing body of work. I always see Allen films.

Bardem is just as good, if completely and utterly a different person, in the John Malkovich directed film 'The Dancer Upstairs. The film is about a revolution in a fictitious South American country and Bardem is riveting as the cop investigating the revolution at the start that gets embroiled in the political panic of the dictator as the revolution grows bigger and more violent. It's unrecognizable from his role in No Country For Old Men but Bardem is still fantastic as the one man with integrity in a country falling apart under its won corruption.
