Very clever linking our present to the Star Trek future.
Great to see that the Enterprise will still be recognizable.

I love the “under construction” closing. Knowing Abrams, he’s going to me marketing this baby until it’s release. :-)

Like i said in the other post, it did give me the chills with the classic transporter sound. Though i am getting more aprehensive about the film as we go along, there is one thing i’ve loved about it so far…
…we haven’t seen shit. Too often with these types of films, the studio is so scared of a crappy leaked photo being the first taste that they quickly reveal the characters in official photos as soon as production starts. It’s nice of course but it takes away the excitement of anticipating how the film is going to look. We’ve seen leaked photos of Spock’s head and that’s it. I hope Paramount will allow us to imagine what the new Enterprise bridge and uniforms will look like for a few more months before they are revealed.
Oh, and the trailer above does it’s job but it’s not the best Star Trek teaser trailer ever. This is:

Looked pretty cool, I will be impressed with the full trailer. This looks very promising though. They can do alot with a teaser trailer, and make it so you want to see more, but when you do see more, you are disappointed, hopefully this movie will live up to the hype.

Too bad Kristina. Kirk, Spock, & McCoy kicked ass in their day. Hopefully in ST XI they will again.

When this was over, the entire theater’s reaction (which was composed of a lot of highschoolers incidentally) was: “Aww, come on!”, in a very teased into wanting more tone of voice. I’m surprised that Star Trek still does that to people.

Hopefully this Star Trek movie “does it” for enough people to put it in the black. I say that because I think they are putting a lot of time/effort/thought into this one. It’s not Rick Berman so that is a big change to start with. Anyway, I like the trailer, it’s a teaser just like it should be. Waiting for the full trailer in a few months…
