New Star Trek Poster

With the release of the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Trek movie, a new version of the teaser Star Trek poster has now been released. The trailer reminded me a lot of the first Transformers teaser that got released, and considering how far away the movie is from coming out, that’s a good thing. This poster…. meh. It’s pretty much exactly the same as the original teaser poster, except that one had the cool throw back colors of the show.

Here’s the new Star Trek poster:

And just to remind you, here’s the first one that I think is better:

Yup… still like the old one better.

Agreed. My only guess is that they wont be using the retro colour schemes in the movie.

The new poster looks like the logo for Star Trek online the MMO… Let’s hope this movie does better than the video game because that seems to not be happening.

James Cawley – executive producer of the New Voyages – has gone on record saying he was not enamoured with the redesigned Enterprise for ST XI.

He’s an obvious purist – it was the whole reason he recreated the original look in the first place.

Cawley managed to get on the sets to see filming of the new movie and he was blown away by what he saw.

It is extremely gratifying to see his total buy in to the vision that JJ Abrams has for Star Trek.
