New Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Poster

Paramount is circulating a new Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull poster and I’ve got to say it certainly has captured the look and feel of the classic Indiana Jones posters of the past sort of a trademark style for the Lucasfilm posters including Star Wars)

If nothing else, the new poster at least answers the question “Will there at least be a Crystal Skull in the movie?”. I like it a lot. This may sound a bit silly, but the best part of the poster to me is that they didn’t “young-ify” Harrison Ford in it. He looks his age and I really like that. One of the big appeals to me about this new Indiana Jones movie is seeing an aging Jones, and at least the poster is trying to pull a fast one.

So what do you think of this new Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull poster?

  1. The writing on the cavern walls appears to be Mayan. the Crystal Skull appears to be a large crystal formation if viewed from its components and not as a whole. I’m not too sure what to think about the Alien rumors, depends on where they go with it. If we see Aliens I would like it to be subtle or suggestive but overall inconclusive. I don’t want to see Indy turned into Stargate or the Area 51 novel series.

  2. He does look a tad older, but not much older. That had me curious too.

The skull does NOT look human, which is weird – maybe they are using Darabont’s ideas.

It’s really weird they put a glare or halo effect there on the left side of the poster…at least in my opinion. Did anyone else catch that?

Like I said, I’ll be first in line but they better not make this about Indy’s kid, I freaking want an Indy movie.

  3. A classy painted poster:)

When was the last time we saw something this beautiful and eye catching? I can’t wait to see people looking at this thing in theatre lobbies. They’re going to lose their minds.

  4. not bad i wish there was a trailer it go with it jsut to have some kind of idea of were they are taking the movie but this poster looks good fells like the old ones

  5. Love the poster but can’t again with the not youngify analysis. Indy looks exactly the same as he did in the other posters. Only that was like 20 years ago…

  6. Nice.
Is it just me or does the skull look inhuman? I know the rumors are running around about the whole alien thing in this movie…but that skull does not appear to have a nasal opening and the orbits seem close to the mouth…just me?

  7. Amazing poster. If i’m not mistaken, this must be Drew Struzan. I’m so glad they are using his work. He’s created some of the most iconic pieces of movie art. I guess this film is heading in the right direction.
