This is a great poster! Earlier, Doug posted the new Dark Knight Batman poster… and this one goes along great with it. This Dark Knight Joker poster really captures the battle for the city that is brewing between Joker and Batman. I really dig it.

I’m still not 100% confident in Ledger. I thought he was a very interesting choice as The Joker for the franchise. The guy has shown that he can absolutely knock it out of the park (Brokeback Mountain, The Patriot), but he has also really blown it a couple of times (The Order, A Knight’s Tale). Still… the potential is there and I like his casting… I’m just holding my breath a little until we see what kind of performance he turns in.

Don’t get fooled by how he LOOKS. Make up artists can make anyone LOOK cool as the Joker… the question is will he pull off a performance? I think he will… but I’m still a little nervous about it.

    dont leave the robin behind..
    this is not fair..
    create a character of robin..
    but i feel bad that i am not going to see this joker again in the next sequel..

  2. the movie and poster look awesome but seriously what happend to robin they show no trace of him but they should make a seaqual or something with him having robin with him

  3. This poster basically shows and tells about the tragic death of Heath Ledger. After his untimely death they put this poster up, out of respect, and not to use his tragedy for marketing, they hide his face in the poster.

  7. Does anyone know where or if I can buy this poster? It is a must-have on my little brother’s Christmas list. Any tips help. He told me he didn’t think I can find it anywhere, but I told him I’d try. Thank you!

    Christmas lists and/or shopping insn’t quite done yet…
    Buy it. Frame it. Display it.

    Wouldn’t mind a Batman throwing star on the ground somewhere (kind of like I wanted a joker card on the floor in the Batman teaser poster from earlier)

    Now

    The trailer.
    I’m not sure why WB is pulling them, other than for quality sake. It is more than likely the trailers will be on QT or on the Knight site sometime within the next week or so.

    I didn’t see it yet; I’m taking the int’l friends word on it and will believe at this time that it is a cool shit.

    I didn’t saw the bootlegged trailer because early next week it will be officially online according to superherohype.com!

    Nevertheless Ledger will nail it!

  19. Why can’t they just release the damn trailer now. I want to see it in glorius Quicktime, and seeing I am Legend is out of the question since i live on the wrong side of the atlantic

  20. hmm, i wonder why the studio is taking down all of the shitty copies of the trailer on the web?

    maybe so that people go see it in front of I Am Legend, in the non – shitty form that it belongs to be seen in.

    wait till sunday if you dont wanna catch it along with a good will smith movie.

    also, sorry i realize i sound like a plant – which wouldnt make sense, so maybe i just sound crazy. oh well

  21. WB is having every single leaked copy of the trailer pulled off of youtube. You can’t see it right now. I’m terribly sorry WB that i wanted to watch it again. Excuse me for getting excited about your product.

    go see I Am Legend. and DONT BE LATE! i was surprised and blown away by the Dark Knight trailer.

    i can guarentee you will be sold on Ledger just from this trailer. it was a fantastic trailer by all means.

    I also loved 96% of I Am Legend so i hope you enjoy that too. Will Smith is amazing.

  26. Go to youtube and type in TDK trailer, should be the third one down from the top—INCREDIBLE! They are already removing some of the other trailers due to copyright but this one should work. Any doubts about Heath Ledger playing the Joker have been put to rest.

  27. Ya…I wish Sam Raimi and crew did the same thing as Nolan. Don’t give us a half-assed interpretation of a villain because you don’t care for him. Then give the character 5 minutes of screentime and have him teamup with a weaker badguy that no one cares about mixed in with dancing and making omlettes.

  28. It’s not a bad day to be a Batman fan. I came in from work an hour ago and have spent the entire time wrapped in a TDK bundle of joy. The UK still has 2 weeks to wait before we can see the IMAX prologue but that trailer and those posters will do for now.

    So far, TDK seems like a checklist of everything a hardcore Bat fan ever wanted to see in a Batman movie and i cannot be more excited.

  32. “Good evening commissioner”The face of the joker right as he looks up into the camera…WOW.There is no way,if I hadnt known before hand,I would have guessed that to be Ledger.He takes on a COMPLETELY different character.The leaked trailer rocks,and I honetly think Ledger was a phenominal choice.

  33. I think that Ledgers performance in TDK could end up being classic. I know it is way too early to say, but regardless of whether the movie is any good, I have a feeling people are going to be talking about Ledger in this role for a long time.

  37. I’m not digging these posters too much. There was a poster that someone took a pic of on the street that looked a lot better. It had the Joker looking really hazey and it had “Why So Serious?” connecting to his cut smile.

    The trailer, while really crappy quality from youtube, definitely made me more excited. Ledger is creepy. It doesn’t resemble him at all and that is what makes me believe a person can really act when you don’t even know it is that person anymore. I love how he talks and uses his tongue and stuff. Favorite part is when he shoots the RPG and it kinda looks like it startles him for a sec.

    Can’t wait to see it in better quality. Anyone know if you get the official trailer during “I Am Legend”. I can’t see the prologue in IMAX because it ain’t playing.

  38. Many ppl are loving the New Joker. I too was worried about his performace but when i heard the teaser i felt Ledger could pull it off. But with so much positive feed back I think my worrying is getting lower and lower. One guy on the message board who seen the trailer said this about the new Joker ” In the small time you seen Ledger as the Joker. I can say he is much better than Jack’s Joker in the whole movie.” Thats saying alot. I love this poster alot. Cant wait to buy it.

  39. This poster is very sweet, I like it more than the Batman one. I also just looked at the leaked trailer and wow, can’t wait to see that in quicktime. Some of my doubts about Ledger as the joker just went away.

    Have you had a chance to see the new trailer for “The Dark Knight” yet? It leaked on youtube sometime this morning.

    If this trailer is any indication, then Ledger’s version of the joker will probably go down as the difinitive take on this character. In other words, this Joker would make Nicholson’s Joker his bitch.

    I honestly could not tell that it was Ledger onscreen. He has totally transformed himself into a raving, psychotic, mass-murdering lunatic.

    This film can’t get here soon enough!
