The original X-Files show went through an up and down cycle. It was one of the best things on TV for a while… then it strated to really suck… then it started to get better again… only to end like a bag of crap. The first X-Files movie was pretty good… the only problem was that it felt a bit unsatisfying because nothing in the film actually resolved.
For a long time we heard whispers of an X-Files 2 movie, but it was starting to look like Indiana Jones 4 in the sense that we might have to wait 20 years for it. But recently there was confirmation that yes, there was indeed going to be an X-Files 2 film, and they’re shooting as we speak.
A site called XFILESNEWS has come up with a whole bunch of set pictures (including the one below with David Duchovny and one of my ultimate dreamgirls, Amanda Peet).

I liked the first movie. The explosion in the beginning was awesome. I hope they are able to incorporate a new Mr. X.
