Tom Cruise To Produce The Champions

It looks like Tom Cruise and Guillermo Del Toro will up for a project called The Champions. We get the news from our friends at moviesonline:
Tom Cruise will produce and possibly star in an upcoming action flick called The Champions. It is about the adventures of a trio of secret government agents whose lives were saved when their plane crashed in the Himalayas and they were rescued by an advanced civilization. The civilization also bestowed them with superhuman abilities. The film will be directed by the outstandingly talented director Guillermo Del Toro.
Guillermo Del Toro is a gifted storyteller bursting at the seams with skill. Tom Cruise is a Scientologist. Together they will be unstoppable! (Xenu willing.)
The idea of hidden civilizations and lost cities are very romantic in a day and age where no inch of the earth remains unmapped. This is going to be like Baby: Secret Of The Lost Legend; only they will find a lost tribe instead of a baby dinosaur, and then the survivors will become super powered humans, and no dinosaurs will be reunited with their mothers. This might as well of been called Baby: Secret Of The Lost Legend 2.
I know with Guillermo on board the lost mountain civilization is guaranteed to be awesome. HIs attention to detail is outstanding and I currently have him very high on my list of Directors; I always look forward to his work. I wonder if the super human powers will be imbued using occult magic, science or a hybrid of both. Either way – we will be sure to keep you abreast of this project as more news becomes available.

That picture makes him look like a midget Hitler preaching to his Scientology troops. Heil Zenu!
Wasn’t the Champions a British TV show in the 70s?

Tough to say if Guillermo’s talents can compensate for the Tom Cruise Factor.
This movie will be awesome. Guillermo is a great director. Tom Cruis’s personal life is screwed up, but as an actor hes pretty good. Just have to learn to separate both the personal life from the job.
What Michael said.
Sorry, I cant take ol’Thomas C serious in anything anymore, the thoughts of his immense stupidty cloud my thoughts whenever he is on screen.
Sorry sounds good, but I’ll have to miss it, unless its a comedy of course, then I can laugh at short stuff without seeming out of place.
Is this ‘Champions’ movie still being made or have I missed it ?
