There are only a handful of names in Hollywood that command instant respect. Jack Nicholson, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are a couple… but you’ll always have to include Denzel Washington’s name in the conversation. Washington’s body of work is already hefty enough that he’ll be remembered as one of the greats… but the dude is still young and has much more time to add to that impressive resume. And this next project of his looks fantastic. “The Great Debaters”
Washington is joined by another astonishing Oscar Winning actor Forest Whitaker and a young actor named… and I’m not kidding… Denzel Whitaker. The movie is based on a true story about a professor (Washington) who starts a debate team in an all Negro college and leads them all the way to debating the Harvard Debate Team. THIS LOOKS FRIGGING FANTASTIC!

i think it looks good….remember the titans was a classic and it seems like just about everything denzel touches is gold…
It was actually going to be titled The Master Debaters, no joke. I also really hate that trailer, it gives too much away. All that’s missing from that trailer is the ending!
by the look of that, they should have called it “Mass Debaters”
Seems the movie has many of the same plots points as “Remember the Titans”.
Yawn.
