It really is amazing how much the opinions can very because I thought the first Bourne was decent, but hardly anything spectular.

I enjoyed Supremacy a little more than the first film.

And I thought the Ultimatum blew them both out of the water. Personally, I thought it was the best action film since the original Die Hard came out in 1988. Just my opinion. The Waterloo Station and Tangier scenes were incredible.

My widescreen Ultimatum locks up at 1:18:53. I bought my first dvd from Best Buy in Virginia and my second one from Circuit City in Maryland. Both freeze at the same identical moment. Can't wait to try one from the District of Columbia!

3 of us at work bought the widescreen release... all 3 were freezing up about 1hr 15min on the player counter. It locks up the player where you need to kill the power .. all 3 DVDs returned to Walmart.. rented from Blockbuster, this locked up as well... returned it as defective got another from Blockbuster, it finally played without a hitch... I wonder how many thousand Walmart is selling that might be defective?

Anyone else have playback problems with the widescreen version? I took mine back to Wal-Mart, got a second one and that locks up in the same spot as the first one.

I think if I read correctly from VideoETA.com
http://videoeta.com/movie/81940

The HD-DVD version will be a combo disc that on one side is a normal dvd that will play in your standard DVD player, and on the other side is the HD version of the film for anybody who has an HD-DVD player.

I didn't see any of the Bourne films until early this year. I saw the first one and was a little underwhelmed and didn't get around to seeing the second one until after i'd seen Ultimatum. I really enjoyed the set pieces and the relentless pace of Ultimatum but felt that it did end abruptly. On the other hand, i finally got around to seeing Supremecy on Saturday and thought it was a cracking thriller and my personal favourite.

I think the comparisons to Bond are silly but it's been nice to see a trilogy that takes its time with the story and doesn't jump the shark in the third chapter.

The first Bourne-movie was the best.
The sequels were solid as well and featured some pretty decent action sequences.
But the story was more or less identical in all three installments and the character Bourne became less and less interesting.
Part three was good, but it really could have been subtitled "THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM: MATT DAMON WALKS HASTILY THROUGH CROWDED AREAS!" Because that's what happened in about 70 percent of the film.
This series is done. Let it rest for 10 years at least.
