Walk Hard Poster

Oh good grief… this is one of the best posters I’ve seen all year. The good folks over at Cinematical offer up this fantastic new Walk Hard poster. Gotta dig John C. Reilly in the faux Jim Morisson pose.

    It’s really good to see John C. Reilly’s name above the title of a movie, but this doesn’t really look all that funny. Curious to see what people make of it though when it comes out.

    And it is a head-turner of a poster, guaranteed to get a laugh or two in Multiplex lobbies around the country.

    Didnt that guy used to be fat?

    Yeah exactly what i thought!! Is his head photoshopped on there, pasted on Jim Morrison?

    This trailer did not make me laugh once. Not once. The theater I saw it in did not laugh. Not once. If this turns out to be hilarious, then the trailer editor needs to find another job.

    I’m getting really sick of them selling movies on the tagline of “From the guy who brought you…. *insert: Knocked Up / Superbad / Anchorman / Talladega Nights / 40-Year-Old Virgin / Blah Blah Fucking Blah*”

    .
    Or “From 2 of the 6 people that wrote “Scary Movie” “.

    @shane

    Exactly. How about letting a movie stand up on it’s own merits for a change?

    Then you have the people trying to take prestige from previous Oscar films oor Oscar winning actors/writers.
    .
    “Starring Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins in Spuds”
    or
    “From Ocscar winning producer Shiny BigPants Mcgee.”
