Morgan Freeman Christopher Walken William H. Macy In The Lonely Maiden

Morgan-Freeman-WalkenI’ve always said that the actors are NOT the most important thing that goes into a movie… they’re important… but not more important than who is directing it… or the screenplay… but holy crap! When I hear about a movie that has Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken AND William H. Macy in it… I can’t help but get a little excited.

And when I read about the new movie they’re going to be making together, The Lonely Maiden, I get even more excited. The good folks over at MovieWeb give us this description of the project:

The Lonely Maiden, written by Michael LeSieur (You, Me and Dupree), centers on three museum security guards who have become attached to the artwork they’ve watched over for decades. When they learn their beloved pieces are to be transferred to another museum, they concoct a scheme to “steal” them back.

Ok, so I’m not thrilled with the You, Me and Dupree connection, but I think that sounds wonderful as a premise for these 3 talented guy to really run with. You can officially sign me up as really looking forward to this one:

As a side note… do any of you guys know if Freeman and Walken have ever been in a film together before? I can’t think of one right off the top of my head. Leave it in the comments section

Uhm… Wasn’t this movie already done, called “Night at the Museum”?

Normally, I’d look forward to a movie with these three actors in it, but after Balls of Fury and Wild Hogs, I ain’t wasting a dime on this…

Just checked IMDB, and the two haven’t worked on a project before. I’m not really worried about these guys, I’m very forgiving when it comes to an actor’s track record.

Yes! Let’s take some of our best living actors and throw them into a corny comedy that will be inevitably peppered with bad jokes and bad cliches! I mean, why not – the public will eat it up no matter what. A few fart jokes and you are set to make at least 50 mil.
