‘Die Hard’ Director Goes To Jail

This makes for some interesting news. Hollywood director, John McTiernan (who brought classics such as ‘Die Hard,’ ‘Predator,’ and ‘The Hunt For Red October’) was sentenced to four months in jail after refusing to withdraw his guilty plea to a charge with lying to the police about his connection to private detective, Anthony Pellicano.

Yahoo News Reports:

When he entered his plea last year, McTiernan said he lied when he told an FBI agent the only time he used Pellicano’s services was during his divorce. In actuality, he said, he hired Pellicano to wiretap Charles Roven, a producer who had worked with him on the 2002 box-office flop “Rollerball.”

Wow…all I can say is “what the hell?” Jesus, why would you wiretap one of your producers on a failed movie project? Did he want some dirt on him? You have to wonder what was going on in John McTiernan’s head while he had this man spied on. (We’re not even going to get into the details about him wiretapping his ex-wife!)

Again, all I can is “What the hell?!”
