National Treasure 2 Trailer

The new National Treasure 2 trailer has hit the web (also known as “National Treasure: Book of Secrets”). You know what, I’m one of those people who didn’t think National Treasure was as awful as some people think it was. Yes, it had some big weaknesses… but over all it wasn’t all bad (not great… but not all bad). It certainly had potential, and the basic premise is an old and tested one… so why not?

Still, I never saw the need for a National Treasure 2 at all. Trying to keep an open mind about things, I watched the National Treasure 2 trailer… and you know what…. it’s not all bad. Actually it’s pretty good all things considered. Check it out and let me know what you think about it:

I’m with John. I loved the first one. I think it got a bad wrap.

I couldn’t understand why it got such a bad rep..I fucking loved the it and I can’t wait to see this one……the first one was just a good old fashioned action adventure film …it felt very much like a film I would have seen growing up in the 80′s…..

I pay to see a movie, that I might be entertained. National Treasure wasn’t great, but I was entertained. I will definitely see NatTreas 2, because I’ll be entertained.

    Looking forward to it!

The first one was not bad at all. I just forgot about it the moment it was ever. The sequel looks very decent. It will be a good rental on a rainy sunday or something.

Well National Treasure was pretty fun. Sometimes that’s all I need, is just a movie that is fun to watch. Now you are throwing Ed Harris AND Harvey “Bad Lieutenant” Keitel at me? One of the things that makes movies like this fun are the players who aren’t top billed. I would go so far as to say sometimes it is just people who may have only a couple of lines in the movie. Case in point, Cage’s buddy in the film. He was great in the first, and gave me a few laughs. It looks like he’ll being doing the same again and that is just fine.

I enjoyed the first one, I think the first National Treasure is what Da Vinci Code should have been, e.g. faster paced and not as History Channely.

I’ve seen #1 several times and always enjoy it for the fun ride it is; #2 looks to be just as fun.

This Film Looks Great, The First One Was Fantastic.

  14. Wow, that looks good. When i first heard about National Treasure 2, i too was skeptical. this one actually looks more interesting to me than the first.

Also, i liked when Nick Cage pretends to have his hand caught in that rock – reminds me of Greg Peck in Roman Holiday.

  15. Cranberry says:

This could be a rare “sequel is better than the original” situation. The storyline looks WAY intriguing and the cast is awesome. Harvey K.– nuff said!

  16. CW says:

I have to agree with most everyone else. The first one wasn’t outstanding by any means but it was entertaining. This one looks like it could be entertaining as well.

Looks awesome. Interesting and promising sounding plot, and some great new additions to the cast. Helen Miren + Ed Harris = hells yeah and Harvey Keitel is back! I really enjoyed the first and unlike the Pirates films, it looks like the sequel in this case will live up to and maybe even exceed the first.

  18. Stephanie says:

I loved the first National Treasure, it’s on of my favorite movies, I have the official movie poster, but when I heard there was a sequel I was skeptical, yet slightly excited still. Now, I know this is going to be a good movie. I can’t wait.

  19. Skyler says:

Put me down as interested. I actually enjoyed the first one.

  20. zero_digit says:

I like the first one, hope it will be better

  21. Headcheese says:

Ed Harris should be in 4 movies per year minimum. The guy is amazing. Glad to see he’s in another Bruck flick. The Rock is a QUALITY flick, that still stands up. Has Cage’s sidekick been in much else?
