You could do Fake interviews like Doug Interviewing LazerBeak
I saw Transformers last Tuesday, but I saw Die Hard 4 yesterday. When I went in there it was packed. I thought to myself “everyone here is here to see Transformers”.
that carrie fisher movie sounds like a scene from ‘Postcards from the Edge’, with meryl streep playing a version of carrie fisher
why dont you guys just get an official movie blog youtube page and just upload stuff….then you can just paste the videos anywhere
Transformers was never gonna make as much as some of those other films…it simply doesn’t have the fan base of some of these other franchises.
Moulin Rouge RULES!!!!!!
thanks for ruining transformers at 24 miniutes john!! hey guess what _____dies!! :(
Woody Harrelson should play Hugh Heffner. I’m so serious.
You guys, Two-Face will be in the 3rd Batman film, that was confirmed by Goyer.
However, you guys seem to be worried about the Riddler, saying he is/was too campy. You must not forget, that was a SCHUMACHER MOVIE. Of course he was campy.
Riddler is a psycho in the comics. Obsessive and compulsive, and they WON’T make him campy (assuming they use him). It would make for an interesting story, think about Bruce using his logic/mind/annalistic abilities to fight crime. It would be extremely interesting, if done right, which it will, because it’s Nolan we’re talking about here!
Also, you guys seem to have a problem with too many villains. Yes, that’s a concern, if they are just put in there for the sake of appeasing to the fans. However, in Begins, they ALL TIED IN PERFECTLY. Henry Dukard (Ra’s Al Ghul) came back, and it tied in perfectly. It was a story about fear, and they did it right.
The Dark Knight will be awesome, just wait and see!
You can’t ruin The Transformers. I don’t think Bay even remembers the plot. It’s abount big fuckin’ robots and what they blow up. If thats all you are looking for then The Transformers is your movie. If you want a smart action film then you’ll have to wait for The Bourne Ultimatum.
Batman Begins was released in 2005, Superman Returns was in 2006…not the same year.
Can somebody point me in the right direction for the NEW Korgoth the Barbarian cartoon Doug mentioned, PLEASE? Probably being think but I cannot find it!
Regards,
T.
Regarding Superman, take a look at this guys:
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=21830
Seems like a Superman sequel is not that definite, look at that quote:
The future of the studio’s recent comic book adaptation, 2006′s “Superman Returns,” is somewhat more dubious. That film cost $209 million (even after various tax rebates) and marketing costs sent expenses upward of $300 million, but director Bryan Singer’s Man of Steel picture made only $201 million domestically. While insiders say the movie was profitable, the studio mandated major cost cuts before proceeding with a sequel.
“If we do a sequel to ‘Superman,’ we want it to be less expensive,” Horn acknowledges. “I have to see a screenplay before I say yes to anything. But the studio would be willing to spend as much as $175 million if the screenplay and other factors warranted it.”
I feel asleep watching Moulin Rouge, twice
That article’s old news. Alan Horn said as far back as last August that if there was a sequel, it’d have to be cheaper than RETURNS. Amazing (note my sarcasm), most of the other film websites haven’t mentioned the IESB report from yesterday.
But I’ll bet dollars to donuts they cover the Hollywood Reporter article as another “doom and gloom” story towards THE MAN OF STEEL.

Time for a whirlwind…
First of all, hats off to Mr. Doug Nagy! He is not alone in his assessment of that piece of Baz-crapola known as Moulin Rouge. I didn’t walk out, but man did I despise this film. My reasons echo Doug’s. Nearly word for word. By the way, shame on Darren Connelly…A Beautiful Mind -aside from Apollo 13- was Ron Howard’s best film, and deserved every award it got. That includes Best Picture.
Next. Something about Transformers- true, that teaser commercial was lame- and it wound up in the film- but while I’m surprised it didn’t take it more $$ (I didn’t love the film, but I didn’t hate it, I thought it wuld make more) there are **three important** possibilities. I’ll run them down.
1) Fourth Of July week/holiday. Majority of films throughout the years haven’t been as boffo at the box office around this holiday. Still, the Transformers take is nothing to be ashamed about.
2) Dudes know what the Transformers are. Girls will pay to see a Barbie & Ken movie. I know, that sounds rotten for me to say, but…you get the idea.
3) Gio loves this film. The audience he sees this with ‘loved’ the film. Not everyone loved this film. Not everyone applauded. To say EVERYONE loves this film is horseshit. I’m not saying people don’t. I’m just saying it isn’t across the board. Think about James Cameron’s “Titantic”. I lot of people love this them, biggest money maker of all time. Biggest Oscar Winner, great visual effects. Some dialog makes me cringe but I love the film anyway. Yet I guarantee we will always find someone who thought they were held prisoner for three hours.
Point here is…not everyone loves this film and *not everyone* is going back for seconds.
Yes, you guys loved the film. There are many that do. But you also have to admit that there’s many who do not- and some of them did not love it as much as others.
Hey Darren,
No one ever said “EVERYONE” loves it. No film in history has “everyone” love it. First week isn’t an indicator if people will go back for 2nd and 3rd viewings… that takes a couple of weeks to see.
However, LESS people liked Spider-Man 3… and yet that made tons of cash… so I’m not sure that’s applicable here.
John, I question your sanity for hating “Being John Malkovich”.
It is probably my favorite movie of all time.
It’s genius, you have to check it out again and watch it with an open mind.
“However, you guys seem to be worried about the Riddler, saying he is/was too campy. You must not forget, that was a SCHUMACHER MOVIE. Of course he was campy.
Riddler is a psycho in the comics. Obsessive and compulsive, and they WON’T make him campy (assuming they use him). It would make for an interesting story, think about Bruce using his logic/mind/annalistic abilities to fight crime.”
Speak the words, Salem and John, Doug, and Darren will be cleared of their misunderstanding ways.
Oh wait, NOT EVER!
you guys are fucking sick. Paris Hilton is fucking ugly
I’ve never walked out on a movie, I see a lot of my movies on DVD, and some have made me FALL ASLEEP. “The Cave” was one of them, also Eragon. My mom said she only walked out of “the Little Rascals”, that’s the only one he can do.
I’ve only ever stopped watching a rented movie once, I can not remember the title, but it was of Van Helsing going into the future. Horrible, horrible acting, really. Bad direction, too. Ew.
Darren S. Seeley, a very slight rebuttal on the statement of girls and Transformers. I know several, several girls who know and love Transformers (most of them have already seen it), and I don’t think Ken and Barbie would be a good movie, if one ever is, I will take back that statement.
