I absolutely love pixar animations, but recently they have taken on some crappy projects. Ratatouille was horrible in my opinion. Lately it has seemed to me that the shorts have overplayed the actual movie. This new dvd is a must buy for me!

Man, Pixar is the only thing that keeps me coming back to the Mouse House. I was a MASSIVE Disney fan as a kid. I have at least fifty Disney movies in VHS format from childhood, but now they’ve fallen off the wagon big time, save for Disney.

And I finally got to see Ratatouille, and I get what the hype was about. It’s a VERY GOOD movie, although I wasn’t really emotionally invested in Remy’s story. The best Disney movies to me are the ones that give me an emotional connection. Nemo did it brilliantly, Monsters Inc made me cry like a baby at the end(KITTY!), and while I was happy at the end of Ratatouille, I wasn’t totally hooked.

Even though I have most of these on the Pixar DVDs I own, I will buy this set so I don’t have to keep searching the DVDs to find out which movie they were with.

I love these shorts, and Pixar has been very generous in usually including them on the DVD release of the movie they appear in front of. To have them all on one DVD (with extra stuff, more than likely) is a definite must-have for fans of Pixar.

Great post, John. I just put it on my list as well. Does this mean that perhaps Ratatouille might make it in time for Christmas too?
