Oliver Stone Cast As The Great Satan

ostone.jpgOliver Stone is a man that is interested in telling stories. He was interested in telling the world the biography of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but was turned down and called The Great Satan! We get the glorious Satanic news from our friends at monsters and critics:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has rejected Oliver Stone’s offer to make a documentary about his life, calling Stone part of the “Great Satan cultural establishment.”

Stone replied, “I have been called a lot of things, but never a Great Satan. I wish the Iranian people well and only hope their experience with an inept, rigid ideologue president goes better than ours.”

The Iranian Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, first called the US a Great Satan after the 1979 Islamic Revolution

This is just fall down funny, knee-slapping news. It is a little concerning that someone who would say this to Oliver Stone is a president of a country, but democracy does not always guarantee you a quality leader. In a democratic system, a leader is a reflection of the people and that is a sobering thought.

I wonder if Oliver Stone is going to go ahead and do the documentary anyway. That would be pretty ballsy and a big FU to the Iranian leader. This certainly takes the cake for the “wacky” news of the day. I certainly hope the war of words continues.

LMAO. I bet Ollie thought he could “charm” the midget psycho into letting him do the doc. Heck, he probably brought along that “documentary” (*cough*pandering POS*cough*) he did on his pal Fidel as evidence he’s willing to bend over just so he can take another popshot at his own country. Suck on that, Ollie, you commie POS.

Doug, just because Ahmadinejad is President does not make Iran a democracy.

  3. Greg says:

Amen, Kenn. The imams and mullahs run Iran, not their nutjob president.

If I understand correctly, the Iranian president didn’t exactly call Stone “Great Satan”. He considers that “Great Satan” is the US, and Stone being an american he’s *part of* “Great Satan”. In other words, he thinks that all americans are evil. There are a lot of people in the world that hate the US lately, and for good reason – this guy just seems to hate them more, and indiscriminately. I personally don’t find it funny, nor surprising.

Good to see at least one foreign head of state has principles.

The funniest story I ever heard about Stone is that his dad bought him a prostitute for his 16th birthday. Fair play. This is better.
