I’ve already watched this twice at home; it’s SO funny. I LOVE Robot Chicken. I was disapointed that the George Lucas therapy session was cut from the final version aired on CN. At the SW Celebration IV Robot Chicken panel they previewed that scene and it’s was great.
I liked the “so wrong” clip - it really is wrong!LOL
My favorite is the Ponda sketch - talk about a bad day! LoL

Yeah, the Ponda sketch was the best for me. “This is so wrong” brought back memories I had as a kid when I first found out that Luke and Leia were sisters.

Should this be considered “pirating”? Should Youtube take this down?
Is this considered being hypocritical for you be against piracy yet putting copyrighted material on your website? Should we all just forget watching these TV shows on TV and just download them off the internet, or watch it on YOutube?
Afterall, the production company and television channel paid to make this, yet people here can watch it here and not on their channel.

I always wondered why Vader was so pissed off in the original trilogy…

I’m fairly certain Robot Chicken puts up most if not all their stuff online. That’s why they haven’t asked YouTube to take it down.

I doubt that they put up all their episodes online, but if they do it would be on their own website (NOT Youtube). I have no idea why Cartoon Network hasn’t requested Youtube to take this down. After all, Youtube and TheMovieBlog are profiting from their property without paying the companies that paid for show.

I thought it was bloody brilliant. I think you have to see it a couple more times to appreciate it because the first time, I was just absorbing all the bits and it went by fast. Now, I die laughing. The guy that kept sweeping the dead bodies…*snort* and the jar jar and vader??? Oh lord…and then Vader is sleeping under a SW comforter? HAHA!

I was literally in TEARS during the scene in the Cantina when the guy starts harassing Luke and we see his subtitles!

Campea,
you should take this copyrighted material down from your website if you care at all about not being a big fat hypocrite. You claim to be against piracy, yet you obviously enjoy that people are letting you watch things for free online. And here you are, posting it on your own site, boosting your readership using other people’s content. Cartoon Network should take your site down right this moment. You truly disgust me, it’s not surprising you’re from Canada which is full of liberals who don’t care about the stuff like intellectual property.

Someone should point out to Louman2 that Adult Swim and The Cartoon Network have an existing relationship with Google and Youtube and have already established a protocol for when they wish their material to be pulled from Youtube. Quite often they permit material to stay up.
This isn’t a movie. If people watch this, it doesn’t cost Adult Swim anything since it is now no longer available, unlike a movie. And with said pre-existing arrangements with Youtube, all AS or TCN have to do is request Youtube to pull it. Google has become lightning quick in pulling stuff.
I don’t see how it’s campea’s responsibility to discover if this is one of those situations where AS is permitting the show to be up or not. He hasn’t ripped the video and put it on his own servers so that the video stays up regardless if Youtube pulls it or not. If it’s AS, and it’s on Youtube, then show it, and if it gets pulled, then it gets pulled.
Perhaps if Louman2 took 2 minutes to step down off his soap box to pull his head out of his self-righteous arrogant preachy ass, he might have thought of that himself.
With regards to the show - -

Oh for fuck’s sake. From the video,
“This video has permission to be posted by SETH GREEN HIMSELF! He expressed during the show to “post this online.”

Loved Jar Jar and Vader part.
Fett rubbing his hands all over Solo hahaha!
The only thing I didn’t like about the episode, was the fact they used some old footage they’ve done before.

Admiral Ackbar dancing on his cereal commercial is my favorite.
Also, Louman2, I think that Robot Chicken and Adult Swim WANT this on Youtube so those who don’t have cable (like myself)will get to see it and think of buying the DVD when it comes out. Basically, putting it up is like getting free advertising to a huge amount of persons who were unable to see the show when it aired. Hey, they won me over, I’ll probably pick it up–if only for Admiral Ackbar and Empire on Ice.

Hey Louman2 - if you go to the CN website they have this available to use on your own website, so what’s the difference? I think you need to step back and chill. If CN or Seth and Matt cared then Robot Chicken sketches wouldn’t have been available on YouTube for last year.
My other favorite part is Lobot dancing to the disco version of the SW theme - LoL.

I just wrote an article for my print column about this and included your site. I also found something a lot of your readers might like, they have actually already done the “Extra Commentary”. I found that at TheForce.net and include a link. Well worth watching Seth and Matt talk about it.
