The "Ugly stepsister" stereotype was made more funny by making her SO ugly and giving her a man's voice. There was nothing appealing about her. Truly the loathsome ugly step sister of fairytale quality, just like all the other fairytale characters. Furthermore, Bugs Bunny was cross dressing long before Shrek was even considered for a movie. I'm always curious to know why that happens...my friend who's a girl went and saw Clerks 2 and she had no idea what Clerks 1 was. Nor Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. Nor any of Kevin's other films. My son loved it! I just had a very big problem of the way we portray homosexuality. It was not called for to have a man dressed as a woman. And my son question me why he had a mans voice. That was very disturbing!! As if we need to corrupt our kids anymore than they already are.
