    i like that even in what appears to be a pro-marvel group of sketches batman is still ranked as the one of the cool guys

    also superman did have a kid in the comics at one point with lois lane so they were kind of wrong on that part.

    1. Fantastic Four
    2. Ghost Rider
    3. Punisher
    4. Hulk
    5. X3
    6. Daredevil
    7. Electra
    8. Blade Trinity

    And DC movies that have sucked:

    1. Superman III
    2. Superman IV
    3. Catwoman
    4. Batman and Robin

    These short clips really do imply what I feel is wrong with DC right now. They are promising movies and not delivering, they are trying to seperate themselves from the comics, and they don’t give the fans what they want.

    Marvel is actually working on movies and popping them out at about 1 or 2 a year (some cases more), they stick pretty close to the comics, and they really seem to listen to the fans and give us what we want.

    Love the videos. Kudos.

    Oh, and Antman. I’m assuming you are trying to argue that Marvel has movies that “sucked” than DC. First off, which movies “sucked” is very a matter of opinion and I’m most people would have quite a few changes they would make to both lists. Secondly, using your list, look at the ratio of “sucked” movies to the number of movies produced.

    Mavel- 70:8 or 35:4
    DC- 30:4

    DC clearly has more movies that “sucked” to those produced.

    Just because Marvel whips out multiple superhero movies a year doesn’t mean they win in the quality department. And how does Marvel listen to the fans more than DC? I guess if you’re talking about Avi Arad forcing Sam Raimi to include Venom in Spider-Man 3 because he claims they should listen to the fans more. They’re more faithful to the comics? Maybe the first two Spidey movies but that’s pretty much it.

    The movies I listed are according to widely held opinion. For every DC movie that disappoints there are three or four Marvel movies that disappoint. The truth is both companies have two successful franchises each. Marvel has X-Men and Spider-Man and DC has Batman and Superman.

    I just want to say that when you look at that list of movies that sucked for marvel vs. DC you have to remember something. NONE of the of the marvel Films sucked as much as Catwoman, Superman III or Batman and Robin. NONE! Except Elektra, which was still more fun to watch then Catwoman.

    I didn’t say the number of movies made the quality better. Ratios neglect the number of movies produced by both parties but focuses an overall comparison of movies that sucked to movies made. And like I showed, Marvel has a higher quality. Not to mention I recheched the IMDB and I had the ratios off. DC made 22 movies.. not 30.

    Yes Marvel listens to fans (and now I’m not talking about that Venom thing.. I think that is BS). They have are coming out with the Magneto movie, they replaced Bana for a total reboot of The Incredible Hulk, and most of all they give us characters we want. I don’t think anyone asked for a catwoman movie or Superman to have a son. Although, I will say they did a great job by giving the fans a darker, more realist Batman. Kudos there.

    You say “The movies I listed are according to widely held opinion.” Then shouldn’t you add Superman:Returns and Constantine to that list since those are “widely held” as movies that “sucked.” Unless you have a link to the offical “Movies that everyone agrees sucked” list. That way I can check and see if I’m mistaken.

    You’re ignoring the fact that most comic-book fans loath a majority of MARVEL movies. The evidence lies in movie reviews, fan reviews, and for certain Marvel movies box-office (Daredevil, Hulk, Punisher, FF4, Blade 3, and Electra all underperformed or flopped).

    And no, Superman Returns isn’t widely condidered to have “sucked”. It scored favorably with most film critics and average movie goers.

    The only way Marvel and DC (Warner Bros) listens to the fans is through box office results. The Hulk disappointed at the box-office so they’re rebooting. We have no solid idea what they’re really going to do.

    Superman Returns underperformed but is still getting a sequel because it cracked $200 million made almost $400 million, and sold well on DVD. DC has obviously listened to the fans this time because people such as Bryan Singer and Jon Peters have said SR2 will be more of an action movie in comparion to SR.

    Dardevil and Punisher were nowhere near bad movies.

    All of Marvel’s bad movies cannot compare with the massive moral vaccuum that is Shaquille O’ Neal’s “Steel”. You guys forget about that one.
