The Fast And The Furious 4

furiouspic.jpgThe sequel factory keeps on chugging. People like cars, people like action and it looks like because of all this we are going to be treated to another installment of The Fast And The Furious. We get the story from our friends at Moviehole:

Chris Morgan has been to write the fourth installment of “The Fast and the Furious” franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan did such a knock-up job on last summer’s “Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” that Universal asked him back to pen sequel number three.

Recent rumours suggested that “The Fast and the Furious 4” might be headed direct-to-DVD, but this new substantiation – specifically the bit in the item that states that “Tokyo Drift” made a pleasing $158 million worldwide – would suggest otherwise. Don’t be surprised if they try and get Vin Diesel back – something they’ve discussed quite a few times – and make it a big monster tent pole teste-tickler.

I am not a fan of this franchise, but I enjoyed the third installment more than I thought I would. Perhaps it had something to do with all the sluts dressed as schoolgirls, who knows. I will say that it seems strange to continue on after the third – I thought the end was a good a wrap up as you could of hoped for with this franchise. I would prefer them just to make more car films with a different set of characters. I personally don’t think the name “The Fast And The Furious” is that strong a draw, although I very well could be wrong.

I think they should make a 50′s style drag race movie – they are kickass.

I like the first one with Vin. I don’t know how long this franchise can last. All I can say is milk it – milk that franchise for all it’s worth.

  3. Jason says:

Exactly, milk it for every last penny if you can. If people are stupid enough to keep paying for it, why the hell not? I only saw the first one and enjoyed it. If Vin Diesel was brought back for part 4, I might just go all stupid and see it myself.

  4. @spence says:

I really enjoyed the first one with Vin Diesel…second one sucked, and i havent seen teh thrid one. Yeah like Jason said, if they bring back Vin Diesel, it might be worth going to see….

I think the name is definitely a draw – you can’t deny it’s s great name for a franchise, in a very uncool way, but whatev. It’s big in this part of Asia, F&F will always make money as long as they make it as flashy as possible.

They will be bringing Vin back, otherwise what’s the point of putting him on screen for the last 2 seconds of Tokyo Drift? That being said, I don’t think that Lucas Black dude is that bad of an actor, he just needs a break to bring him into the map of Hollywood.

  6. CJ says:

Another one? Talk about beating the dead horse for all the money inside.

  7. Marina says:

I say stick to the ending of 3 and bring back Diesel and Black for the next one. I’m game for that.

I too enjoyed #3 more than I thought I would but I will admit it had more to do with the cars than the girls in schoolgirl outfits.

  8. Yeah, I can hope for Vin being back…and while I like Lucas Black and part of the Tokyo setting (half of it was filmed in LA) …I’d like F & F if they set it in another locale. Paris? Berlin? Rio De Jenero?

  9. Roguepirate says:

I’ll only watch it if it has Chuck Norris and Vin Diesel going at it, preferably having a duel using import cars as swords.

ok, you change your mind again? I remember specifically when you and campea reviewed this movie, and you guys nearly went bonkers going on about how bad this movie was, and there was nothing good in it.

  11. louman2 says:

so which is it, do you like it or hate it?

  12. Kevin C says:

    ^seriously?…who cares?

“Enjoying something more than you thought you would” is a relative term, he could have went in expecting dookie on a stick, but got dookie on a sugar cone instead. He enjoyed it more, but it was still dookie.

  13. TM says:

I enjoyed the 1st and the 2nd, but HATED the 3rd, which also made the least amount of money. So there is an audience who agree with me.

Making a 4th is not a bad idea, given they introduce Vin Diesel in it since that’s where the 3rd left off.

I haven’t lost hope for the franchise yet, 2 out of 3 movies were decent. So they’re ahead.

Bring on the sluts and cars!! Whooopaahhh!!!

    Hi

AND THERE IS A GOOD F+F MOVIE!
    “Whooopaahhh!!!”????????????????

  16. Bradley says:

I liked the third one, i liked all of the movies and it would be pretty cool if they brought another one out
